I have 2 questions One on Flowers, Second, on Music

1...are any of you planning on using a vendor for the bouquet? and if so which ones?
We contacted Cancun florist with flowers, gifts and balloons delivery in Cancun and they gave us some good prices compared to Lomas Travel (their prices are daylight robbery!censored.gif)

Here are some prices:
Here is the quote you requested.

Bird of paradise bouquet $75 usd
Cymbidium orchid bouquet $150 usd
Mini calla lilis, orchids and roses $200 usd
Bird of paradise boutonnier $20 usd

Plus delivery fee. Prices are for single bouquet. If you need more items (bridesmaid's bouquets, centerpieces, etc) we can give you a better price.

2.
Are any of you planing on bringing a Bose Sound Dock...or have you opted to use the system there?
This is where we are completely lost...I just need to know if I use Lomas Travels Ipod Station or the Amplifier for Private events?

Anyone able to add some clarity would be greatly apprciated?
My mom is a florist and after looking at some bouquets from the Caribe (photography) website, she almost had a fit over the plastic holder thingys that they come in. We got the ok for her to do the flowers herself which is pretty great because she is AMAZING and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it. Does anyone know if we can order flowers from another vendor and have them delivered to the hotel? I would love to order them from this Cancun flower shop if we can.

I plan on having a TTD session with Elizabeth Medina and was just planning on leaving it up to her to choose the location. I plan on sending her a few pics of other TTD sessions that I liked so that she can get an idea of what I am going for and hopefully suggest locations that way.

Have you purchased a new dress just for the TTD session...I am going back and forth on whether I want to wear my real gown.

ha! me too!! we're using elizabeth medina, sooo excited. i emailed her about it and she basically said it was up to us to do the research, she didn't really have any suggestions since she normally shoots the ttd sessions at the same resort... but i really think i want a change of scenery. have you thought of another location? as for the dress, i was definitely going to trash my dress but my friends wouldn't allow it, lol. sooo, i had them try and find something fabulous at under $150, i thought they wouldn't be able to, but they found great dresses in group usa. i actually bought two, i couldn't decide which one i wanted... one is very similar to my dress and the other is a light grecian style. i decided on the grecian one and i'm selling the other, there's a post on the forum...bunny_4.gif

Hi Lolo,
are you talking about the cost to fly there and stay all inclusive? My guests are paying $1499 plus $327 tax, for one week. We booked through the wedding holiday.

Does anyone know anything about the cocktail hour hordouvers? I was able to find out that each selection is enough for one per person. So, for example, if you did 6 canapes from the Mexican Donkey Bar for $21/person, each person would get 1 each of 6 different selections (so 6 total hordouvers, plus alchohol). This seems a bit expensive, but I guess it depends on the size of the hordouvers. Any one have any thoughts?

Hi guys,

My TA is there this week so I'll let you know if there's an update on the issues you mention.

Hi Brides:) Can any brides who have had their weddings at Azul in the last few weeks/months report on any of the conditions that worry those of us still trying to pick a resort? I love the looks of Azul, as well as the location and price, but I am feeling serious pressure about making sure my guests enjoy it as well. I was 95% sold on Azul until I read some of the reviews on Trip Advisor....and now I'm having heartburn!! My sweet FI spent all of last night trying to calm my nerves about the resort. Feel free to PM me also if you want to talk about your experience off the record. Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
