I am going to look into what someone said about checking the Lomas website. There are apparently other photogs on there that aren't on the Sensatori site. This forum has been so helpful!!
Hi Shandalier!

Let me know if you find anything out on the photogs available from your WC - I posted a question earlier about how the website and the Lomas offerings are different. The Sensatori website only lists 2 options - it's a bit confusing! I'm having trouble getting concrete information from my WC unfortunately.

If any other ladies have some scoop on this discrepancy between the website and Lomas offerings, please let us know!

My FMIL had a severe brain injury just 8 months ago so her walking is a bit unstable. I'm concerned about having our reception on the beach because I just don't think she'll be able to deal with the sand, especially all night. I feel like the only other choice for our group (70 people booked) is in a banquet room. Am I missing a location? I think that's it, right? I'm really hoping we can do the Plaza area.
I've been told the same thing. We are expecting 75 guests and want to do a private reception with DJ. I was told that my options were the beach (too cold for me at night!) or one of the banquet rooms. I do have a "venue sheet" that says Zocalo is available for 70 persons for dinner or buffet. If the Plaza is no longer an available option for new bookings (as is still a big question on this thread), then I think that may be it for options. Hope that helps.

Hi Gracie Congratulations, I too am getting married 4-24-09!!! our ceremoney is @ 5:30 followed by the cocktail hour on the beach, and we just confirmed we can have our recp. at Zocalo fresco.

What time is your wedding? and is everything finalized?

Thank you, thank you! Same to you, Katherine! What a FABULOUS day to get married wink.gif

This is such an exciting time- we're so close! Our ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 on the beach, followed by a cocktail hour on the beach as well (the Palapa Yoga space). We've decided to go with The Plaza as our reception site. Originally wanted the beach, but opted for The Plaza b/c it has the dancefloor, lighting, etc. already built-in...just seemed easier/more affordable and less windy...Zocalo is going to be awesome! What are you doing for music during the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception? It's been my biggest challenge thus far- I'm still working on last minute details with my coordinator....I'd LOVE to have everything squared away ASAP....it'll relieve a heck of a lot of stress already! How about you?

How many guests do you have coming? We have 27, small group....but I don't think my control-freak self could manage much more ;p

Congrats Erika and safe travels. I will be leaving Saturday for my wedding - We will see you there! We will be the happy couple drinking pina colatas and chasing them with tequila!:)

BTW: does anyone know if the hair dryers in the room are the cheesy kind that dont dry well that are attached to the wall. My sisters keep asking me. lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
