Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Tiffany is my WC and I have received an email from her confirming that I have the Plaza booked. My wedding is July 10th. It will be interesting to see if that has to be changed. I would think that they would allow the people who have already been confirmed for the Plaza to keep that reservation, but who knows. I will also email Tiffany and see what she says.

Good luck to you girls about keeping your plaza reservation....I just s/w Tiffany and she said that the plaza is no longer available.

I hadn't officially booked it but is was the number one choice on my list. When I expressed how upsetting this news is and how frustrating this process has been with things being offered and promised and then taken away with an "Oh, I'm so sorry....but if you'd like, you can do this, it just might cost you more money"....for example, "I'm sorry the palza isn't available, this is upsetting to us too, but if you'd still like an outdoor reception you can still do it on the beach, granted you will need to give us MORE money for a dance floor!!!"

I'm so beyond pissed off at this point. I'm just ready to get married and praying the wedding will actually turn out nicely! Sorry for the rant girls, this process has just been exhausting and frustrating!!!

So the only options for larger parties are the windy beach or inside?!?!?! The place is an all-inclusive resort and we're paying for food and drink, and now the location options are only the beach and a meeting room. Honestly, I'll consider switching hotels (and do everything I can to make them pay the related costs) if that's the case.

Good luck getting them to pay related moving costs if you do decide to switch. We were supposed to get married at Azul Fives, and demanded they pay for the difference for us to move to another resort outside the Karisma chain...they refused despite our (and our TAs) attempts over the course of two weeks. Finally settled on Sensatori because we couldn't have our guests absorbing any additional costs. So if they are unwilling to pay for our costs under circumstances that were THEIR fault, I have to say the odds aren't good for you choosing to move.

I still do not have 100% faith in Sensatori, but with less than three weeks to go, I'm beyond worrying too much about it and am determined to have a great time.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

I am not going to stress out about the Plaza. If it is not avaliable we will just do something else. I have stressed out enough and refuse to let it ruin my engagement. The reason I decided to go away and get married was because of all the stress that comes with a big wedding. I know that everything will turn out great. From everyone I have heard that once you get there it is awesome. Don't stress! :)

I agree with you, I don't want to stress too much about this because I'm sure it will all turn out, but I still do have a couple of questions for those who have gone for a site visit or have been married at Sensatori already about reception locations.

My FMIL had a severe brain injury just 8 months ago so her walking is a bit unstable. I'm concerned about having our reception on the beach because I just don't think she'll be able to deal with the sand, especially all night. I feel like the only other choice for our group (70 people booked) is in a banquet room. Am I missing a location? I think that's it, right? I'm really hoping we can do the Plaza area.

It is so frustrating!! Tiffany sent me an e-mail last week and included the plaza as one of our choices for the reception. She said on Friday that she will let me know when it is confirmed. My TA also said she was on a webinar and they included it there as well. Please post if anyone hears about this. We have about 60 people coming to the wedding. We don't want to do the beach because we heard it is so windy and we definitely aren't paying for a destination wedding so we can have a reception in a ballroom. What are they thinking eliminating this as an option? I bet it's just because they want people to have to pay for the dance floor.

Thanks for the info...Tiffany is my WC also but I didn't know this since I hadn't really looked into it much...guess I'll be sticking with Caribe and hoping for the best!!! Are you bringing a photog from Austin? I miss Austin soooooooooo much!!! GL with the rest of your planning!!!
Hello again from Austin! I wish I could afford to bring someone from here (to pay for their trip and then pay for the pictures). I haven't been super impressed with the pictures I have seen so far from Caribe. I think they just aren't artistic enough - like my mom could stand there with a digital camera and take the same pictures, ya know? I am going to look into what someone said about checking the Lomas website. There are apparently other photogs on there that aren't on the Sensatori site. This forum has been so helpful!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
