We will have between 25-30 at the most. Sorry, I should have stated that :)

Yes, I think it is extra, but adds a nice touch and hopefully i can wear heels.

I'm probably not the expert on this, since my own planning isn't even done. But Zocalo Terrace would be good for around 25-30 people.

The beach is another option, there is also a covered area there where they do yoga during the day, that is where I'd like to have my cocktail party.Click the image to open in full size.

There is an area at the adults only pool that looks really nice, but they will not allow you to use it if you have kids in your party.

The plaza (the area in the middle of the resort) may be too large.

Here are some photos I took of poolside areas.

I think it really depends too on what the other wedding is doing, so trying to plan it so far ahead might not work out.

Hopefully the other girls will chime in with additional info.

I apologize for the late reply, I've been out of town. My sister-in-law took all our pictures so we saved a lot of money (we didn't have to pay the $500 off-site vendor fee either) and actually a few of the pictures were taken by her daughter. She's the one standing behind us in the cabana

The wooden plank runner is included. its actually very easy to walk on because the planks are close enough together. A small stiletto heal may be tricky however.

Hi brides,

I'm a current Azul Fives bride, but with the delay in opening, we are investigating our options. I can't spend the next 8 months not knowing where our guests will stay/where we'll be married or I'll go nuts! Anyone know how many weddings the Sensatori does in one day? I know there's already one on my date, but I'm curious what their wedding schedule is.

Thanks ladies!

As far as private receptions you can have it in the Plaza which is an outdoor area behind the carribean restaurant, Zocala is semi private meaning that they will close the outside part of the restaurant and have your reception there (you can have dancing). THe only downside is that you have to share you bar with the other restaurant guests. There is also a private meeting room that you can use. THe private room looks like a basic recpetion area that you would find at any hotel. It does not have a view.

I have pictures of all of these places. I attached a link in one of my previous entries but I have put it below for you to look at.

I am starting to get little irritated with the offsite people. I submitted my preliminary application almost 2 weeks ago and still have no response. I sent out an email following up and he has not even had the courtesy to respond to my email. I am seriously considering changing venus which would be a shame as I took the trip all the way out there.

Any advicehuh.gifhuh.gif

Thanks yoAzul! We actually are expecting 75-100, so the Beach is too small for our group. Our other "limiting factor" is that some folks are bringing thier kids (even though we're not having kids at our wedding/reception other than the flower girl). I can't bear to switch to a hotel where my friends who have little babies couldn't stay (if they were toddlers...they'd leave them with grandma and grandpa). Ugh!!

Hoosierfan - thats so exciting to have so many guests! But also frustrating due to the adults only situation at the other larger Karisma resorts. I hope Azul Sensatori works our for you - past brides seem really happy with it! Hopefully they wont increase their 2 weddings per day

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
