Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I have finally narrowed down my selection for my destination wedding to the Azul Sensatori... despite the minor glitches, sounds like there have been great reviews.

I have a question with regards to price. I am from Toronto, Canada and planning to have my wedding during the first week of November 2009. I was quoted $1800 per person taxes included for a week - does this sound reasonable? Is this what I should expect for this resort? I was told that new pricing just came in and it will be over $2K after this week. Should I continue researching for a better price? Any insight from past brides or TA, that would be great. I hope to finalize my venue by Friday... so excited!

We did the majority of our planning once we were at the resort. I don't think they usually do this though. We were a group of only 11ppl so our planning was quite simple. I had picked our flowers and ceremony location prior but our reception was all done when we arrived. I know there is definitely room for some changes and add-ons in your meeting with the coordinators.

I think some of the other brides said that you start picking location, flowers, decoration, etc. about 2 months before your set wedding date...I could be wrong though. We booked after the 2 month mark so planning started right away for us.

I am assuming the $1800 quote is in Canadian dollars. I am from Calgary and we paid $2000 per person for one week in January so I'd say that is about right.

As far as the added on services for the music, we have not checked into any of that such as the lighting.
I thought about doing this option too. You may want to check with Fabio as I believe there will be an outside vendor fee for this.......I think it will be the same as bringing in a different photographer, etc.

Technically, they will be our guest since they are not getting paid. So as far as I'm concerned, they will not be an outside vendor, but a guest at our wedding running the sound system!cheers.gif

As far as our photographer goes, it has already been pre-appreoved since he will be staying as a guest at the resort as well (they require either a min of a 3 night stay or the $500/day fee). We do not have to pay an additional fee on top of his stay.

Hello Trayce2222, Thanks for sharing your decision making process. Who do you have to pay the licence fee to?

I think that is reasonable. I am from Toronto as well and getting married the beginning of November. We are paying close to that per person. I couldn't find anything cheaper for this calibre of hotel. Who are you booking through?

Question for those who have already gotten married at the Sensatori:

Is there any sort of rehearsal for the ceremony? I think I remember someone saying they do not do rehearsals, but how does everyone know where to stand, when to walk down the isle, how the flower girl and ring bearers are supposed to stand, etchuh.gif? I'm getting nervous because I don't want it to be all messed up! How did everyone get their wedding party organized?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
