Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Thanks so much for the makeup ideas - I've been watching You tube videos on wedding makeup application and I just got a consultation so I'm going to try to do it myself :) This may be the hardest part for me.

As I'm on the plane in one week, I can only hope that the Dec 20 grand opening means they will be trying hard to impress. With the extra volume of people coming through around Xmas, I think they will get plenty of feedback and kinks worked out. If not, the drinks are free so hopefully not much room to complain :) We are also doing a sailing/snorkeling outing and probably some tours so it will be a good opportunity to get off the grounds and explore.

Hi,

Are you one of the first Sensatori brides? Please let all of us know how everything goes, I just found out Fabio was in an accident and is in the hospital. I have a Jan. wedding at Azul Fives and trying to find out how the new Azul resorts are doing, very little information. Best wishes to you!

Do you have any particular sunscreen brands which you would recommend?
Thanks again! :)
Sure! Any foundation or powder with an SPF is good. Jane Iredale has a brush on powder with SPF that is great it comes in tan and translucent. I can check on some specific sunscreens and get back to you. I know you don't want to use anything with Parasol 1798 (for pics).

Oh no! I hope Fabio is ok. I was wondering what was going on...I was supposed to pay for my wedding in full today but Fabio never got back to me about the final price tag. He has been so good with replies lately, that I though this was out of character for him. My prayers go out to him!

Natalie Ann, did someone contact you about this? I am just wondering if I should call the hotel about my final payment. My wedding is in January also.

I order my flowers through Lomas Travel because I couldn't get through to Fabio, he was in Mexico for a week. When I still didn't hear I called the resort, we booked through them not a TA. Then I heard through another wedding coordinator that he was in the hospital, and I was wrong to give lomas my order, although that's what Louis said to do. You might call, but Fabio is hopefully going to be fine and back next Monday. How big is your wedding? On the beach? Reception on the beach?

Hi ladies,

I was away on vaca for the lst 10 days and have spent the better part of the day catching up on all that's gone on since I left!

i too have been on holiday at all sorts of resorts and I think for everyone the biggest thing in a great vacation is the food and the service! Since we are pretty darn sure we have the food down as fabulous, we just need to check on what the staff have been like, so I am curious if any of you ladies who have been there in the last month can tell us what your experiences with the staff have been? Entertainment staff, dining, front desk, etc. I honestly believe that we can overlook any of the little imperfections that may arise if we focus on the good things...

Also, thanks for all the posts in the last 10 days...I can totally relate to the curly hair thing and the make-up thing...LOL!

I am reading through all of these posts, but new, so forgive me if I'm asking a question that has already been answered a bunch. I am trying to decide between a few different locations and resorts and the Sky Wedding is why I love Sensatori.

We are paying for our wedding ourselves and I am in Grad school, so trying to be cost effective, which is difficult since we travel a ton and have become rather spoiled. Our guests are such a mix with some rarely traveling and will be happy at any resort, some travel regularly like us and have higher expectations from a vacation.

Is everyone doing the reception and has anyone received a total of what their weddings are costing? I am just wondering what the averages are before I book this for sure. I don't understand how it costs so much per person for private events or cocktail hours when everyone has already paid so much for all-inclusive, is it just because it's private?

I am anxious to see more photos and reviews.

Did anyone not choose the sky wedding for a reason?

Also, if you are having a wedding with friends and family here, are you leaving to go some where different for your honeymoon?

One more... Do they let you stay there complimentary for your site visit?

Thank you for your help and good luck to any brides leaving soon!

Azul Sensatori is probably a good fit for you. I think it offers something for everyone from the seasoned traveler to the novice.
It is hard to grasp the thought of paying per person at an all inclusive resort. The truth is they do it because they can. Some resorts cut you more of a break, but most all inclusive charge for private events. For set-up, tear down, tables/chairs, servers etc. Just think of how much that would cost at an at home wedding + food and alcohol.
The good news is that open bar is included at AS.

There are a few options regarding how to have your dinner.
#1 is included in the wedding package, up to 40 people at Spoon Restaurant. Not private, but at no additional cost to you.
#2 Preset menus starting at $12/person
#3 Two buffet choices at $64/person and $71/person
#4 Choose your own menu. I'm looking at all this now and coming up with $49-$56 per person

To see where I am getting these numbers, click here http://www.karismahotels.com/wedding...t-kit-2009.pdf

We are choosing a beach ceremony, but the Sky Wedding looks neat.

We will be going on a separate honeymoon, like you, we are rather spoiled.

No complimentary site visit, maybe if you found a super kick ass TA, they might be able to find a way.

Have you seen these pics of the first Sky Wedding? azsskywedd

Let me know if you have any other questions or if I have confused you more!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
