Provide Fabio with your photographer's information via email. He should reply and let you know if they are approved (make sure you get their decision in writing). You should note that your photographer will need a specific work visa (listed on Karisma's website) if they already don't have one. The 3 night or $500 charge is correct.

Louis is a reservations specialist (?) that we've worked with at 866-karisma. I believe he's in the same office as Fabio (as, at the very beginning, we dealt with Fabio.)

It will all work out. No worries.

I sent him the information for the photographer and that was two and a half weeks ago, should it take this long to get something in writing. It is Elizabeth Medina, and I know she has done a lot of AZUL Beach weddings, so I think she is approved with the 500.00 fee....

hmmm. I think 2.5 wks is a bit long. I'd email him and ask him specifically ... "please confirm that my photographer, Elizabeth Medina has been approved for my wedding on June 12, 2009. I am anxiously awaiting your response. Thank you."

You will definitely get a positive confirmation since milejilo and katken have already recieved their confirmations for her as their photographer.

I am also using Elizabeth as my photographer and she has been approved via Nancy. So, I doubt there will be an issue since they know of her through past weddings.

We got an awesome rate from Toronto, but I am wondering how much our UK travelers are going to be paying. I am hoping it's not too pricey.
Hey Selina,
We will have some guests travelling from the U.K. Our travel agent said that you cant get a package for them, so they gave us land only rates (the price for the all inclusive hotel stay for one week) which are $1246.00 per person. they then have to find a flight there and back which seem to be quite pricey. Have you been given a quote yet? I'm curious to know what you find, because our quote seems expensive!

Oh crap. They can't get an all-in rate like us? That's not good then. I have been referring my UK guests to Thomson Travel because it seems like they have a good relationship with Karisma, so I'm thinking the rates might be better. I haven't actually checked myself though. I might quote it out with them just so I can know. I'm gonna see what I can find. I hope it's not too horrible though...

Thanks for your insight Meghan!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
