Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hey Katie

We got a price quote out of Calgary for May 09 of $1765 taxes included for 7 days is the basic room category. We put down $12,000. in deposits (We are expecting b/w 80-100 people) we realized that May is an off month and there are only so many flights(one a week) so if one wedding party of 50 or more book we are screwed. So we had my parents, his parents and some close friends prepay to hold deposits, then when people confirm, it all balances out. We have til November 19 , then if only like 60 confirm they get a credit on their account.

It is really crazy, but this way I have no stress of getting people to book really early or of not enough room on the plane.

Cheers,

Heather

Hi All!

I just joined this site while doing research on the Azul Sensatori. It has been quite the ordeal digging up information on this place.

Our wedding date is 11/14/2008, so we will be one of the first 10 weddings there. I am sure I will be able to answer a lot of questions for you all now and especially after the wedding.

Are any of you working with Fabio yethuh.gif?

Hi Katie, I am from Toronto and also using The Wedding Holiday. We had to upgrade to honeymoon suite otherwise would have to pay 2500 for resort's wedding package. We just did a quick math and it will be an expensive wedding, especially if we have over 40 people, but hope it'll worth it. Your rate is locked in till Nov?

Are you going to their Bridal Shower on Sept 13th?

Cheers,

Shannon

Hi Shannon!

Thanks for the info... what wedding shower? I know the company may do a FAM trip in Nov. to the resort but that's all I heard. They haven't quoted me the upgraded package yet, I only see it on the Hotel's website. Can I ask what you would be paying for just you and your FH to go and stay in that stunning roomhuh.gif I so have my heart set on this hotel now and would be sad to have to look elsewhere. Also, Lorraine emailed me FROM there today and said that it's free if coming from U.S. as rates are 30% higher, but for Canadians no free wedding package as we have better rates apparently.

Hi Everybody!

I am leaning towards Azul Sensatori. I have loved reading the posts on this thread (it really is such valuable info) The FI and I are planning a site visit to the area on Oct 1-5, 2008. I will come back with lots of pics and questions answered. Can't wait to get some stuff answered and have some solid options for venues.

Hi Amy!
Welcome to the forumwelcome3.gif
We are happy that you found us! I'm curious, how is the planning going? What have you done so far? Do you know who the on-site coordinator is?
I haven't done any solid planning. I'm waiting for them to get a few weddings under their belt. I was just wondering how it is going with the resort not being open.

Hey Shannon and katie,

I'm going through the Wedding Holiday as well and I am going to the bridal shower on the 13th. Shannon, I'm confused as to why you had to upgrade to the honeymoon suite ....what did that have to do with the wedding package? My FH and I have just started this process...we are probably going to get married July 2010 so we have a while to go. I am also going to go on the trip in Nov to visit the resort.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
