Separately, what's the deal with a welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, and farewell brunch -- will Karisma include these as part of guests AI packages, or are there separate per person costs involved?

Thanks!!!
This is how I understand it. Included in the wedding packages is a dinner for up to 40 people in Spoon Restaurant. If you are having a private wedding dinner/reception, then you can use that dinner towards something else (welcome, rehearsal or brunch).
I haven't gotten that far in my planning to tell you for sure. If you find out differently, let us know.

Hi Jenny, this question might sound silly but I am quite confused now. Since all meals in their restaurants are included in the AL package, why would we get rehearsal, welcome or brunch to replace spoon restaurant dinner? unless we can get our own area separated from other resort guests?

Even though its AI, the resort requires you to pay additionally if you want space set aside for your group. I'm sure if you have a small party, you won't even have to mention it to the hotel and you can just show up at one of the restaurants.

RE: subsituting the 40person dinner at Spoon toward something else (ie Rehearsal dinner, brunch) I asked if I could use that towards my Welcome dinner and Nancy from Lomas said no. Not unless I wanted to have it at Spoon. I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's experiences once they start booking their events. Right now I'm holding tight, since its too difficult to plan without the resort being open. Hope that helps!

Thanks! Do you know if the additional charge is a per person fee for all food and drink (vs. a nightly area set-aside fee) -- because if the resort is going to charge a per person fee for all food and drink for a welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, private wedding (this one's okay), and farewell brunch, for my group of 80, I'm wondering if it's silly to do an AI. Thoughts?

It sounds like the azul photographers are really bad....does anyone know where I could see some samples of their photos? And are they using the same photographers at the azul sensatori that they do at azul beach? I would really rather not pay an extra amount to bring in my own, but if they are really bad.....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
