Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

hihi girls, I booked mine at 3pm because we thought picture time comes after the ceremony; otherwise I would have booked it at 5pm. My hubby to be doesn't want to see me in the dress beforehand but he also wants the ceremony at sunset. doh.gif

I booked my ceremony at 5 pm. I have the same picture dilemma. I think what we're gonna do is have pics with family and bridal party before the ceremony and maybe during cocktail hour. And then do pictures with just the two of us 2 days after the wedding. We'll probably have to switch to a different hotel, so we don't have to pay $500 photog fee again. I am thinking Hotel Esencia or Maroma. love.gif

JHarwood2Be - I just spoke with fabio yesterday and I was told that the hotel is scheduled to open on time on 10/1/2008.

My ceremony is at 3pm, and I'm planning to have cocktail reception from 4ish to 6ish (sunset's around 530pm in jan). I spoke w/ my photographer who's also a friend of mine, he doesn't recommend taking photos bet noon - 3pm. I was hoping to take some photos before the ceremony. Any suggestions girls?

I'll def keep you guys posted on everything (wedd ceremony site, sky deck, cocktails site etc) I'll very likely visit that 1st weekend when they open, can't wait til the visit plane.gif

Hey Winwin.
How about taking pics on the Sky Deck, entry's/corridors, balcony, gazebo (gardens?? - I'm sure they'll have some type greenery area). You should be sheltered in most of those areas.

Yeah for opening on 10/1!!!!elefant.gif

Ok so after 3 weeks of dealing with Nancy I am so freaking irritated with this whole photographer mess. This is the latest email I received about the approval and cost of using an outside photographer.

I hope this email finds you well. Please be informed that the photographer will have to provide us with a copy of their workers permit. This information would be available through their country consulate department. The outside photographer fee is $500.00 usd per day. The following is the information regarding the photographer requirements. Please feel free to contact me with any future inquiries. Thank you.

Note: Outside photographers and videographers are not allowed on property

unless pre-approved by the hotel in advance. The hotels reserve the right to deny

access to the property to any unauthorized photographer or videographer. Please

contact your wedding coordinator for more information on approved vendors.

Outside photographers and videographers approved by the hotel will incur a $500

photo fee per day.

**El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels and Azul Hotels, by Karisma abide by all Mexican

governing laws which require foreign workers to obtain proper licensing and work

certificates while in Mexico doing work for themselves or on behalf of others . We

reserve the right to request proof of such license and/or work certificate.

 Mexican citizen requires: RFC (registro federal de

contribuyentes)

 Non Mexican Citizen: Mexican working visa, FM2

or FM3, RFC

Does anyone else understand this? I just need to know either pay the $500 plus the 3 day stay or pay one of them. Why can't she reply to this simple question?? I am frustrated and my TA is just as frustrated. Any advice? Im trying to get it in writing but so far no luck and never the answer to my questions.

Oh and I also asked her about the details of having a beach reception and guess what her reply washuh.gif

I hope this email finds you well. Please be advised that if you would like

to host a private event dinner on the beach, this would be one of the

available locations, however it would have to be approved by the resort.

Please feel free to contact me with any future inquiries. Thank you.

In a weird way I think she answered your question... it is $500 per day. If you want them there for more than 1 day you have to pay

$500 per day or the 3 day stay. It mentions nothing about the $500 and 3 day stay. I am doing a reception on the beach. You have to pick from a banquet kit list. I have that if you need it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
