Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

hi friends! Looking for a bit of advice on flowers! I'm wondering what others have done or are planning to do... We need 1 bridal bouquet, 1 MOH bouquet, 2 boutonnieres, and 2 corsages for our moms... so not a lot of flowers, but enough that it is causing some stress. (flowers & centerpieces are my two *road blocks* right now...)

Lomas' floral pricing is high and nothing on the site really 'wows' me. Well, there are a few, but they are, of course, the $350 bouquets. I just can't justify that cost, especially since I can bring the flowers home. http://www.weddingsbylomastravel.com/planning/bouquets.html

  • If you ordered from Lomas - was the quality worth the cost? did anyone have a bouquet custom made vs. ordering one of the standard options on the site?
  • For those who did fake flowers - where'd you find the stems? how'd you pack them to ensure they didn't ruined during travel?

Thank you!!!

Hi, Lomas Flowers are beautiful I saw them in person but I also found them outrageously over priced. I used and outside vendor for my flowers. Maya Floral and I didn’t regret it. They had wonderful reviews and were easy to work with and way cheaper than Lomas.

Yes I did pay the vendor fee because I wanted what I wanted. I also paid it for my photographer as well. I didn’t mind to pay both to get what I wanted

@@Sweetness14 - awesome! did you have to pay the outrageous $800 outside vendor fee? Can you share some photos of your flowers?

Also - who was your WC?

thanks for sharing!

Here are a few pics. The flowers when they were delivered were not fully opened up but opened up all the way by the time the ceremony started. post-287907-150842659609_thumb.jpgpost-287907-150842660595_thumb.jpgpost-287907-150842666142_thumb.jpgpost-287907-150842667323_thumb.jpg

  • 3 months later...

any other April or May 2018 Azul brides out there? We're quickly approaching the "100 days to go" mark and suddenly starting to feel a little overwhelmed with the planning we have left to do, but it's mostly the little things, of course!

Does anyone know the timeframe when Karisma transfer the wedding from the Miami WC to the wedding team at Azul? We're still communicating with Javier, and he's been pretty good these past 12+ months... just wondering when they transfer.

Things left to do... that I can think of right off the top of my head:

  • wedding band for FH
  • list of songs for the DJ and the ceremony
  • witness passports and legal documents
  • final payment on the hotel
  • dress alterations (scheduled)
  • find bridal accessories
  • find shirts for FH and BM
  • finalize gift bags for guests - WIP
  • communicate week of / day of timeline to guests
  • organize all my communications with Javier so I can easily reference
  • book flights for my mom and FMIL (they don't fly and are panicking about flying out of the country)
  • probably a dozen other things I'm forgetting!

anyone else feel like sh*t is getting real?

. Wow I’m surprised that you haven’t been in contact with your wedding coordinator at the resort as of yet. You may want to ask about that. For my wedding last year, I was in contact with my coordinator a year and a half before.

Fear not, I believe Javier is your on site coordinator!

Javier was the coordinator for our wedding last year. I worked with him for about a year prior to the big day and I had the opportunity to meet him when we arrived at the resort.

I think there was a shift about 2 years ago that moved planning away from Miami and into the hands of each resort instead.

With that said, there is an on site team that handles the actual set up so you will be handed over to them once you arrive.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
