Hi everyone! Anyone have experience dealing with the live musicians? I have had my heart set on using a Live solo musician for the ceremony and having them play the Love Actually theme song ie. Glasgow Love Theme by Craig Armstrong for the processional. I had booked the violinist but their song lists are terrible and so short. It seems ridiculous to pay 700 for 45 minutes when we have zero control over song choices. My WC is looking to see if they will play it but she seems clueless about it so far. Anyone have any experience with these live musicians or have any advice? Anyone book a live musician and get to choose a song for them to play? That's what I'd love clarification on and I feel like my WC will never know. Thank you so much! :)

Hi ladies,

 

Has anyone used/hired a local videographer? Any recommendations?

Also, have any of you had a friend or relative be your officiant instead of using the person at the resort? Is this even an option? I thought I'd throw it out to you gals before I talk to my WC. My fiancee would like to have one of our good friends, and I know he would do an amazing job, but not sure how this works. Would love any feedback you have on this piece.

We actually had a cousin sing (with background IPod music) while I was walking. They didn't question or hesitate with this. I know its a little different , but wanted to let you know

We used Sarani Photography and Video. They were absolutely amazing! They paid attention to every detail and I didn't feel like they were in my face. Here's the link to my video and pictures.

Has anybody ever been upgraded to a Presidential Suite? Or is it always the Honeymoon Suite?

Yes. Well...people in my group were usually upgraded a level above their purchased room.; So my friend who purchased a room level below presidential suite was upgraded to presidential suite.

We used Sarani for video and photo as well. Not sure yet how it all turned out as we won't get the finished products for a few more weeks. Sarani herself wasn't there, but another of her photographers...I did not care for her. Just hope her photos are nice. The video people were fine, they were there but in your face like someone else said.

 

And I am sure it won't be any problem to have someone else officiate the wedding instead. Just talk to the WC.

Hey ladies! If your looking for a wedding photographer or video Grapher, look no further. We used Sarani Weddings and they were absolutely amazing. From beginning to end they were professional and paid attention to every detail. We could not be happier with their work. They are not Vendor approved by Azul Sensatori so you will have to pay the outside vendor fee but it's so worth it. Sarani also works with you on that matter, she gave us an extra hour to make up for the cost. Below is our video and pictures, they speak for themselves.

Hi everyone. My hygienist told me about this website and forum and I am so happy that she did. I will be getting married at Azul May 2017 on the Sky Deck.

 

Did anyone use an outside vendor for flowers? I saw some of the prices for centerpieces on the Lamos website, but they were kind of outrageous. I'm in the process of getting quotes from 2 outside florists  found on this website that had great reviews.

 

I am also looking into photographers and videographers and happy to see from prior posts that Del Sol is not an approved vendor. So far a few brides have told me to look into Fine Art Studios. Love their work so far,has anyone ever used them?

Congratulations on everyone's upcoming wedding. Regardless of who you choose we always suggest picking a professional photographer/videographer over a friend or family member. Friends and family are here to enjoy your wedding and not bear the stress of capturing all the perfect moments from your big day.

 

I'm not saying go with us (even though you'll love us  ;) ) but please don't have uncle joe do your photos. You will be seriously disappointed.

As far as decor, many brides use Katy. She lives in Playa del Carmen and rents out many items, she also sells items you can use for favors. She packs up everything nicely in a suite case and you meet up with her to pick up the items. That way you bring it into the hotel along with your stuff and you won't be charged and outside vendor fee. Here's the link for her info...

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.
