Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Thanks for all the input! I'm checking now about how to get it moved to around  4 or 5 but if that's not possible  I may be stuck just getting as much extra lighting as I can.  ^_^ Beautiful photos though! My next question is about photography, do you guys thing the matias cano or caribe is worth it? I was eyeing the 6 hour 3k package with matias but I'm tempted to go with an outside vendor like Elizabeth Medina photography. Just not sure if it's worth it with the vendor fee. Any thoughts or suggestions? The photos seem so important. And we're going with weddingmix by storymix media for our video which seemed so cute and easy plus low cost. Thanks guys! And congrats to all that are getting married or were recently married! Very exciting time!

We can certainly confirm that Elizabeth Medina is an outstanding professional photographer in our beautiful Mayan Riviera, whose work you would cherish for a lifetime!!! In case you haven't already seen them here's a link to some threads discussing her: BDW Elizabeth Medina threads and here's a link to her reviews: BDW reviews of Elizabeth Medina

We've had so many wedding couples concerned about their resorts charging outside vendor fees, that we now offer 100% Vendor Fee Discount!!! as you'll see in our signature at the end of this post.

Hopefully this helps wedding couples with the important challenge of staying within the range of their spending plans :D

Happy planning everyone, wishing you the very Best with your amazing journey ahead - ENJOY!!!

I got married in November and I was quite worried about photography too.  I thought that I liked the look of matias cano but they were more expensive and we ended up going with Caribe.  I have to say that I was so impressed with them.  Our photographer was professional and accommodating and seemed very experienced at this resort.  we got all 604 pictures (over 5 hours) and a beautiful photo book 6 weeks later and on time!

Hello brides -- I am getting married at the Azul Sensatori on November 16, 2016. I am going to be bringing Real Touch artificial calla lily bouquets with me rather than getting fresh flowers through the resort. The Real Touch flowers are very high quality artificial flowers that look and feel like real flowers. They are crush resistant and can be reshaped if they do get a little smooshed. The cost of bouquets through the resort is so expensive so I figured I would get something that is can be sold afterwards and reused rather than something that will end up in the trash!

I will be bringing the following:

- 1 bridal bouquet

- 3 bridesmaids bouquets

- 2 wrist corsages for the moms

- 6 boutonnieres for the groom, groomsmen, and dads

The flowers will be ivory calla lilies and the wraps on the stems will be champagne coloured.

I can bring them back to Canada with me to sell them here, but I figured I would see if there is any other brides that would like to use them before I bring them back to Canada. I will be available to sell them at the resort between Nov 18 and Nov 23. If anybody is interested, let me know and we can chat :)

  • 2 weeks later...

My wedding at Azul S is in about 2.5 months. I just got notification from Miami team that my wedding is being reassigned to local wedding team in Mexico. I realize there is not much I can do about this, but is this normal procedure? Is there anything special I should be concerned with or watch out for?

Thanks

Amy

I just got that same email. I am livid! I have had my wedding planner changed like 4 times. And every time it's a new one I have to explain everything all over again. I've never heard of them switching brides towedding coordinators on site but I do prefer that. I felt like dealing with Miami was dealing with a middle man anyways. But now I have to wait for this person to review everything and contact me. How long with that take? I had just send out an email last week with questions that I'm sure I won't get answers to till maybe a week or 2 from now. Ugh!

I am on my 3rd Miami coordinator and been getting the same run around. My favorite is sending the email 5 min before they leave for the day- asking for my availability and then never calling.

I have been waiting for almost 3 weeks on spa confirmations. Since the resort is sold out (I heard for now the entire month of June), I wanted to get myself and my girls hair and makeup appt at least booked. I sent them a list-they sent it back with wrong names and not the right number of appts. I called yesterday and I was worried bc I called to complain they were kicking me to the curb. . I guess I feel a little better they are pissing everyone off equally. Lol

I'll let you know when /if I hear back from them.

Btw. For the spa, I was quoted $290 per person for airbrush makeup!!!! WTF could they possibly do for $290!!! SO ridiculous!!

I'm doing regular hair and make up but have yet to be quoted an amount. I went to scout the hotel and then again for the brides dress rehearsal and the wedding staff on site is awesome. So, I know they will take good care of us. Much more organized then Miami. I just hope this doesn't change now that they probably have a load of other brides they will be dealing with. I had a block of 15 rooms and I'm only using 8. So that will free up some rooms but I know it's after your wedding so that doesn't help you much. I also requested the bridal suite at the spa. I never received confirmation on if I got it or not. So who knows! I'm going to reach out to the person they assigned me at the hotel later today. Hopefully we are on the same page because I would hate to have to start all over again with someone else. Good luck!

Hi ladies,

I am getting married at Azul Fives in June and received the same email on March 29th. Did we all get passed on to Carolina Sigala? She is going to be one busy lady! I am totally fine with the idea of dealing with an onsite WD but it would be nice if in the meantime they would monitor our wedding ID. My WD vanished three weeks ago and everything has been unresolved since them. Fingers crossed Carolina (or whomever you have) works out. It's crunch time. It would be nice to get some answers!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
