Here's our wedding video. My sister in law brought a friend as her date and she followed us around with our GoPro for the day... I'm so grateful because I feel like I missed so much! I spent the past couple days editing all the videos. :)

Ahh I loved it.  Beautiful spot and such spunk in all your friends and family.

Jumping in is wild hey? hahah I don't think I had prepared myself for how heavy my dress was about to become.

Congrats!

Awesome video ladies!  Thanks for sharing :)

I have a logistics question on which someone will be able to advise...our ceremony is at 5pm on the Sky Deck.  We then have our reception at 7pm in the ballroom (I'd hope we can move this time if needed).  How do we fill the gap from the end of the ceremony to the beginning of the reception?  We're a group of drinkers - so naturally, we'l like to do some type of cocktail.  Any advice on if it's worth scheduling a 2 hour cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception or if it would be better to just have guests go to one of the bars for a quick drink or two before entering the ballroom for the reception?

Unfortunately, we've never been to the resort so are struggling to conceptualize how to move everyone/how to keep everyone entertained so that there is no downtime.

Any ideas?  Thanks!!

I was married at Azul in October (it was absolutely PERFECT and the best vacation that me and 70 of our family and friends have taken) and you don't need to fill in that gap. The Ballroom is near the lobby of the resort. There are many options from the SkyDeck to the ballroom. You and your party could have drinks at one of the outside bars that you'll pass while walking to the ballroom or the bar in the nightclub that is directly across from from the front desk. Lol A cocktail hour would be wasteful.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
