Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Congrats @@BecomingaRiggio! Thanks for sharing!

I haven't considered Plaza Zocalo until you mentioned it. You said it's more intimate? It looks so big in your photos! I'm currently booked at Zavas but I'm interested in a more intimate space, especially if its also cooler. I'll have 3 or 4 tables so I don't want the space to look too empty. It looks like Zocalo comfortably fits a lot more tables from your pics. How did you find it more intimate?

Hi @@HolaAmigos! The 2 days prior to the wedding were partly cloudy and hot. But wedding day not one cloud and it felt even more hot and humid. It wasnt too bad on the Sky Deck cause we had a breeze but the sun was still shining bright at 530pm.

I wasnt melting in my dress until we started to party.. we ended up getting the little hand towels from the spa to cool off. ($1 a towel). I saw a video where i was wiping sweat from my forehead. Luckily i decided against spanx and any indergarmets that would be hard to put back on w sweat.. it was dripping down my legs too.

Unfortunately, i drank a bit much and i remember the evening in patches. I was told that I had a wonderful time!

@@blushxo, Hi!! I still like Zavas, but i fell in love with the Zocalo. It has swinging chairs and beds that make it very loungy and sexy..they couldnt stay for my reception but im sure they could keep them if you asked. That would take up some of your space. I meant it seemed more intimate beacuse it has a hedge that encircles the Zocalo. It near the restaurant and so there is more space between the venue and guest rooms. Either location is great..but Zocalo was exactly what i envisoned in my head.

@@carrieandsam - Sorry I totally missed your question from earlier.  We arrive on the 15th - our guests are coming on the 17th. Then a bunch of us are staying the week.

@@BecomingaRiggio - Congrats!  Everything looks amazing - love your dress and your reception location!

Does anyone have any info on the beach private events locations?  We're looking for a flat beach surface (my grandmother recently broke her hip and isn't overly mobile) where we can put out tiki torches and have a low key private event....any insight on the difference between Beach Building 3 and Palapa Yoga (other than the wooden structure) would be great.

Thanks in advance!

I want to buy a house next year (and I live in LA $$$) so Im saving where I can by doing crafts. I got these little plates and stands at the cent store, I painted over what was on them with White paint then cut out #'s I printed from online and covered the whole plate in mod podge. If you need to stay on budget, enlist a crafty friend and go nuts!!

Ugh ladies, please don't go overboard drinking. You will regret it. Amd give yourselves at least 2 hrs back in your room after the salon to unwind and take a minute to eat. Make a list of family members you want in ur pics. I dont remember taking a big family shot. Even a shot of us in sky deck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
