@@Ydolem I've spoken to the Toronto Karisma rep at length about why Canadians done receive any of the resort perks and free events like the Americans do. The short answer is that our packages work differently - us Canadians buy a package with the flight included where as the Americans have to add the flight on separately. This results in their travel costs being much higher. With Transat now being the sole operator they are very focused on working hard at keeping costs low. To be honest I would rather have the cost of the trip be lower for my guests than have a couple of free private events. Just wanted to put this out there…hopefully it might make you feel better about your costs.

Question: For those providing welcome bags, how much is your budget for each bag/tote? Any tips for those who have done welcome bags where they got quality looking tote bags without breaking the bank?

@@Aliyedwinramirez got mine at Michaels over the past year..about $1 each. I dont know how much the goodies were beacuse they r a gift from my SIL. She added coozies and beverage cups. Here are a few pics. If u have time, u can def do for a good price.

The black cup in 2nd pic was a sample. I will add some chile n lime cornuts. And my mom pitched in these trinket boxes

We had guests from the US booking directly through Karisma and not receiving discounts on their packages. Because my husband and I are Canadian we did not get the promos. If we were American we would have with the number of guests we had coming from the US.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll start planning for the bags now. My wedding is only 6 months away. Starting to feel like all of these things are creeping up!

Ah! I haven't even started on invites yet. We have a good idea of what we want to do for invites but not 100% yet. When are you having them sent by @@carrieandsam ?
