@@atyson03 I am headed down in 41 days! And I really really wanted peonies for a bouquet , so I booked them with my coordinator and than started thinking about how outrageous the price was for them (300 dollars !) So I canceled it and bought a silk peony bouquet off of etsy cost me 150 dollars but at least I'll have it more than ten minutes now and get to keep it as a keepsake .. anyways I'm going to wrap it in bubble wrap and put it in my carryon , I'm worried about doing that though because it has decorative pins in it. So a shoebox and bubble wrap in my checked bag may have to do.

We also went to Michaels and bought silk flowers and ribbon and made the bridesmaid bouquets , which was WAY cheaper than 80 bucks a bouquet down there. Michaels has good sales and coupons usually so it worked well.

I ordered real touch bouquets from an Etsy vendor. I hope to see them soon. I picked 3 colors to use and explained my vision for wedding. She will use flowers from her surplus from other orders. I got a huge discount! About 200 for bouquets, bouts, corsages for my entire bridal party. I cant spreak to her work though since i have not rrcueved yet..if you are interested in doing something like that, pm me and i will be happy to pass along that info. And i attached the silk flowers i will use for centerpieces. I will look to sell them after wedding (june 21, 2015) post-278682-142669637923_thumb.jpg

@@BecomingaRiggio I love those for the centerpieces!! Your wedding date is only 5 days before mine! I am getting so excited, but didnt know what to do for centerpieces so I was just gonna do some candles because I didnt want to have to travel with a lot of things. are you worried about having to bring them down without getting damaged?

@@atyson03 I submitted serveral pics of different flower options for pricing before I got what I wanted. I decided early on what was important to me and what I was willing to compromise on. I really wanted real flowers so the compromise came in the arrangements. I went more simple for the bridesmaids, but they are beautiful bouquets- 60 bucks each! My bouquet is about 180. I originally really wanted all the expensive bouquets (the peonies, cymbidium orchids, etc...) but ultimately decided to do flowers that we more in season, and not as difficult. White, ivory, blush roses are a really nice touch and adding more greenery can make everything look fuller without spending as much :) Good luck, hope this helps!

I have a question for everyone; I'm looking on Amazon for my own sheers to buy for the ceremony since they charge 100 bucks each. Does anyone know what kind of material I should be looking for or any links to where they bought theirs? The measurements the WC gave me are in meters which is a unique conversion so I'm having a little trouble really knowing what I should be looking for exactly. It always takes me a week to get a response from my WC so I thought I'd reach out here! Thanks in advance :)

I was just about to ask the exact same thing ! Your wedding date is 2 days before mine I just noticed:) 2.5 M is roughly 8 feet, but I have no idea what would work for decorating the gazebo. Let me know if you find anything out!

I just had my wedding last weekend and it was amazing. Everything was absolutely perfect!

The sheers I brought with me were purchased from Amazon. You can buy them by the yard. I bought 2 organza sheers at 10 yards each (60 inches wide)and that was more than enough.

They cost me about $35 bucks each. Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
