Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

We chose plated for the cost vs. Buffet; also because in the US buffets are cheaper and the perception is different. Buffets can be more laid back and give more food options, it depends on your type of reception and how you envision it either way works I would say... Let your bud give you that decision.

@@BecomingaRiggio we are going the BBQ deluxe bc I liked the variety of food you recieved for the price, it gives everyone an option of things they may like instead of forcing someone to have either fish or beef. Also it'sore laid back and that's kinda the feel we want. Plus we only have about 30 guests now haha

We decided to do the BBQ Deluxe and we added on lobster tail. I've heard great things about their grill. I think this gave a wide variety of options for the guests. Dinner will also move quicker, more time for the party! It also gives a variety of desserts so I do not have to get as big of a cake.

I'm just being nosey, never seen such a thing, I just assumed it was it's old building or maybe above the lobby!

It looks beautiful and a ceremony plus cocktail up there would be awesome - yay!

We offered a cocktail before the ceremony and a champagne toast after on the Sky Deck. It was fabulous! The view is awesome. Plus, I didn't have to worry about sand in my shoes if we had married on the beach. The pre-ceremony drinks, ceremony and champagne toasts took about an hour. Then, everyone moved to Zocola Terrace for cocktails and appetizers while my husband and I took pictures on the beach and around the resort. By the time we got to the reception, everyone was very, very relaxed and happy!post-267894-0-76064500-1424359844_thumb.jpg

@@Jennypert looks like everyone had a great time

@@BecomingaRiggio I am having a sit down because from the get go I knew that is what I wanted. I'm going down in March to confirm my menu so unless the buffets blow me away and it's a must then I'm going with sit down. I just think the way they plate food will really wow my guest so that is another reason and I do not want guest standing in a line. To me it is interesting that the buffet is more expensive but everyone raves about it

@janjin- ok cool. I am from the DC area!! This cold weather sucks!! Yes, and we still have not had anyone book :(

Yes, the table decor is expensive. I am looking for other alternatives but I really do not want to pack decor to bring with me.

AWW!! Exciting!! How did your dress shopping go? My sister is coming to DC this weekend so we are going to go on Saturday or Monday.

FYI- I asked about the make-up artist and hair stylist coming to the suite to do make-up and hair and they add a 20% service fee to the total. @@Ydolem

Have you looked into photography? I am really scared that the quality will not be good. I have looked at the pricing and packages but do not know who to choose.

Hey Ladies!

Can anyone recommend or give me advice on photographers and/or Djs for Azul Sensatori Mexico? I have read bad and good reviews on many photographers and djs so I am torn on who to select for my big day! Also, paying the waiver fee does not seem like an option. Any advice would help.

thank you :)

I am using @Pixan Photographer. I feel really comfortable with Jonathan. His rates are very reasonable too. you would incur a vendor fee. For me, in the grand scheme of things, i felt highly uncomfortable using a photog i wasnt completely sold on. Bringing my own DJ. He will be a guest for more than 3 nights.

Dinner, i had already decided on plated and response cards have been sent but now there are 97 guests. I just wanna party. Less time for dinner sounds good to me

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
