A large savings can be had if you just want to go to Tulum vs. A tour of Tulum. My guess is you could arrange a few large vans (cab style) and then pay the entrance fee at Tulum. It would mean you don't have a guide arranged, but at the site there are guides for hire...usually about $40 for a tour (and I don't think it matters how many guests are with you)

I work in travel and I would recommend Olympus Tours but I wouldn't know 100% if they do late group tours like this for something under $50 per person. Either way it doesn't hurt to inquire!

Question: Have their been past or current brides having a "papel picado" wedding cake? The resort confirmed they can do this but have no photos so I have to go on ideas based off of Pinterest/Internet. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

I've watched weddings through the sky cam and it only works when there are weddings

Thanks! Do you get a blank page or error when you try to log in and there is not a wedding? Guess I will just have to check on random days lol

Papel picado are the Mexican banner flags.. Not sure what that would look like as a cake, unless it's a topper? Curious though.. Let us know what you find out!!

I actually googled after I posted and I'm sure you could provide the picture of what you wanted exactly and get what you wanted. Most girls have done that for other aspects of their wedding and got exactly what they wanted.

This is kinda what we had in mind: http://pinterest.com/pin/409898003558814058/

However, we wanted to customize some colors, and other little things. There hasn't been a photo I've found yet to have exactly what we want but I'm thinking maybe we will make a little sketch/digital photo to outline what we want exactly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
