Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I have been looking forward to dining at the Le Cirque when Sam and I go down to the BdR in March. So I was concerned when I saw that @@rebepax group was charged $125/person. So I called down to the Azul today and talked to the concierge and this is what I found out: If you use the website http://lechiquerestaurant.com/ to make reservations you can only make reservations for the tasting menu which is $110 for hotel guest and $150 for non hotel guest. The 8-9 course that @@kmk2016 mentioned for $25, a reservation must be made with the concierge upon arrival and cannot be made before you arrive. The concierge did recommend to make the reservation 48 hours in advance due to non hotel guest dinging in the restaurant as well. I am not sure why @@rebepax group was charged $125 maybe they did that since it was a large group and since the restaurant servers are use to only 4 tops the manager felt inclined to place an extremely high up charge. I don't know but I will be looking into this more as I know some of my guest will want to eat at Le Cirque on the trip.

Hopefully this helps clear up any questions or concerns.

I AM DEVASTATED :( , someone from this board contacted Karisma and provided exactly my wedding day stating that I was bringing a different DJ and no hiring the DJ they offer. How can someone do this? I cannot believe it.

Regardless of how much people can read on boards or how many words a contract can have, it is my business..It is bad to do this type of things like calling and providing other brides info.......that is wrong and breaks my heart...I would never do this to anyone.

This makes no sense. You can't just call them and provide your name and make that change... It needs to be added to your detail sheet- and the $800 fee would be applied using an outside vendor! It's easy to just email them back with your detail sheet and say there was an oversite and that you are using DJ all music or Mega DJ (their two DJs) and therefore don't have the $800 fee.

I don't even know how they would know your full name (also required when making any changes to your detail sheet)... If they DID know this, it should be easy to determine who you divulged this to!

In any event.... Do not give this a second thought- you most definitely aren't on the hook for a vendor fee you aren't using... And most certainly aren't going to go without a DJ! They host 2-3 weddings a day.,, perhaps the planning department made an error and brought up another brides info??

Dont let this stress you- correct it with Lomas and you are all good!

If you DO know who did this, and have real proof of someone doing something malicious... Let the board owners know (or send me a note and I can follow up)...: but know that the brides here are all pulling for you!

@@kmk2016 Thank you so much! I will send you a PM. A DJ wont define happiness on my big day, however this is a concern because of how we all use this board and help each other.

It is about the principle and I was told that a bride contacted them referencing my wedding day. I had the link of my wedding website with my info it was easy to get into it

I am so sorry to hear that. That is downright catty. Perhaps those werent the intentions of whoever called, but they should still not be refferring to your wedding at all. I also think the coordinators in Miami read this forum. I often google the place I work and read reviews of the people I work with.

I am also planning on using an outside vendor for DJ. They made me aware of the $800 vendor fee, but to be fair, she also told me that if he was a guest for 3+ nights, he would not be subject to that fee.

We are dealing with a similar issue. They "Lomas" agreed to rent me just speakers and lights. However I asked them to clarify if the speakers are powered or not, if subwoofer is included and if they will provide all the wires/connections I need.

That was on 12/26/2015. So I have emailed by travel agent and she was able to go above my coordinator and see what the hold up is in answering a question.

I am not happy. One bit . I am 5 months away with no DJ.

Keep us posted on your situation. Sometimes being firm and borderline mean works

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
