Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Do any Azul brides have recent experience with makeup/ hair done by the resort that you can share?  I am seeing mixed reviews and am getting nervous. I have hair/makeup booked for my wedding coming up right away on Feb 14th :)  Thanks!

@KendraS-  I have heard nothing but positive things about the hair and makeup at the spa. Most of the brides on the forum seem to be very pleased. (And from my understanding if you're not happy with what they are doing, they will fix it until you are happy!)

* I have also added you to the Bridal Roll call! :D

Hi Ladies - I'm mostly been lurking since getting engaged but it's official I'm confirmed for our wedding at Azul Sensatori on 11/20/15.  So excited!!  Time to go back and re-read this and the official thread and make notes.  Next it's time to finalize the room block and pick invitations.

If you had to pick 1 key piece of advice to planning a wedding at Azul - what would that be?

Any other November 2015 Brides??

@@Janjin not November but I am an October.

My advice is to go to the BDR ASAP if you have not visited it before. I'm not going till march:(

Since you already have your date and it's close to thanksgiving, make sure to let your guests know about the date do they can start booking flights with flyer miles. That time of the year can be expensive to fly. So getting your room block is suggested to put in the top of your list:)

@@murmel & @@carrieandsam thanks for the reassurance!  I feel much better now :)  Also thanks for the add to bridal roll call.

Ladies I will keep you all in the loop about how my big day goes.  We have 60 guests coming!!!  I am getting married on the beach by the pier. I ordered 2 white sheers for the gazebo and a large hanging corsage. Reception is at Plaza Zavaz and we will have the BBQ deluxe.  I am bringing my own lights for gazebo poles and paper lanterns if I buy them in time LOL :)   Photographer is Dean Sanderson. I've ordered bouquets, table runners, hurricane lamps and centerpiece flowers from the hotel.  Also we have ordered the small cake for cake cutting and booked Mega DJ for reception.

@@carrieandsam - I'm actually working going to the one in April and I'm excited.  I should have the room block done in a few days and save the date samples are on their way to me.

Question - how many room did you guys block off?  How did you come up with that number?

@@KendraS as local SPA or beauty Salon has employees, they change often, for what I have experiences in the past, many brides take it off and re make up again themselves in the room, you may get a good make up employee but most likely not, Make up is important, if you do not feel comfortable that may be a very bad for your looking nice day! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
