Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

You don't have to be staying in the adults only section to go over to that side....but obviously no kids allowed in adult only pool. We had many guests stay on the family friendly side but come over to the adult only pool to hang out. My parents stayed on the premier side with a swim up. We went to their room and hung out with them at their pool one day even though we were not in premier. However if you don't know someone in premier I wouldn't go get in their pool as it is more private.

As for what room...we booked a basic room but were notified that we were being upgraded to the honeymoon suite for the whole stay. We were there 6 nights I believe. We didn't have to pay a difference and it wasn't based on how many nights our guests were staying. The suite was gorgeous with a beach front view!!!! While we lucked out and were upgraded, my understanding is that upgrades depend on availability. We actually had many of our guests upgraded. I had a friend upgraded to another honeymoon suite and many to swim ups on the adult side. Hope this helps :)

Hello ladies.

I had a question in regards to rooms. Those of you that have been there, what room would you recommend for my FI and I? A lot of people mentioned they got a free upgrade once they arrived. I didn't know if I should go less expensive (so we can put money toward other parts of the wedding) and plan on that or just go with a room in the adults only section. Also, my travel agent told me that in order to go in the adults only section you have to stay in that section. Do any of you know if that is true? I though you could go anywhere except the premiere section. That was a big reason we picked this resort. Any help would be great. Thanks! ~Laura

Thank you! We are so happy with how it turned out. We did our photos and video as a package with Sarani Photography. I want to say the video was originally $1,000 but I'm not 100% sure as we did a package. Also, Sarani was great and gave us a discount to try and off set the vendor fee.

Love your video!!! Did you use a videographer? How much did it cost of you don't mind me asking??? Congrats!!

You may want to see if they will waive the vendor fee. I know a bride who had the fee waived since the hotel doesn't offer airbrush. :)  @@linaco80

Thanks :) Ha! I heard that since that happened they are now offering air brush lol, the actual makeup person told me :(

@@linaco80 yes something that shows all the items broken down and I can see what the costs will look like.  Since it is so a -la- carte I am trying to compare it to other resorts to see which one makes the most sense... does that make sense??

Yes, send me your mail if you want in private and I will scan mine and send it over, so you have an idea of how it looks, I believe you have not made a decision and you are comparing prices? once you start the process you will start working with a wedding planner in Miami to itemize your wedding

Hi ladies,

Do any of you know the specifics on the $250 resort credit? I know some can be used toward wine upgrades, a massage, etc. I just wasn't sure and can't find it anywhere. I was also wondering about the Le Chique restaurant and if any of you tried it out while you we're there. I know it is not included on the all inclusive plan. What do you guys think about possibly having a rehearsal dinner there? I didn't know if that was possible or not. Any help would be great. Thank you all.

The resort credits are a joke...just got back. You can only use the wine credits $50 at a time-the cheapest bottle of sauvignon blanc (twist cap) was $71. This was the only one I was able to even use and I had to spend $20 out of pocket at our candlelit dinner (at least that was included). They will not combine any promos-i.e. Bogo massage-can't use the $50 off for the full price one. One full price was $132.

It would be tricky to do a rehearsal dinner at LeChique. You can only make reservations once you arrive and like someone mentioned above 4 people /table.

I am so sorry to keep asking so many questions but here's another one :) I have ordered the vases, candle holders, and a ton of other wedding supplies but now how do I get them to Mexico? I read somewhere that we can only take $300 worth of wedding supplies with us on the flight, is that true? And I also read that you have to have a note in spanish explaining that everything is for your wedding? Please advise.

Thanks! And Merry Christmas!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
