Hi ladies,

My lovely hubby and I got married at the Azul Sensatori in October, 2013.  It was a wonderful and amazing experience and if anyone has any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message.  We got married before the luxury packages were rolled out, but we had our wedding on the beach (gorgeous) hired a local photographer (amazing) and had cocktail hour at Zavaz Plaza and our reception itself on the patio of the Zocalo Restaurant (the food was exceptional and the location was semi-private; we had drinks and dancing and speeches and it couldn't have gone better).  We just celebrated our one-year wedding anniversary and it brought back so many memories of the planning process - anyone getting married at the Sensatori has made a terrific choice for locations - the staff is incredible, the food is amazing, the resort is gorgeous and you can't go wrong!

@@Kimgal06 That is awesome to hear it was amazing even without the luxory packages. Sounds like you had a great time. Did you take advantage of the resort credit you received for your one year anniversary? My fiance and I already decided to go to the Azul Sensatori in Jamaica for our 1 year anniversary and we are not even getting married until October 17, 2015. That is how much we are loving the Azul resorts.

I am having my reception at the Zavaz Plaza. The Zocola terrace looks beautiful, I bet that reception was awesome especially with the view it offers. How awesome.

Thank you for sharing you experience and I will defiantly contact you if I have questions.

What did past brides choose for makeup ?? did you purchase the Dior package an was it worth it, or did the regular package suffice? and were prices decent?

Did they come to your suite and do hair and makeup?? I know my bridal party and myself aren't going to fit in the bridal suite so just wondering what to do

TIA

Question for future brides:

1. Are you sending a Pre-travel package? if yes, what are you sending ???

2. If you spend good money on the pre-travel package are you doing the welcome bag also?

3. Doing both or only one? if both , are you doing one cheaper and spending more on the other?

4. What kind of bags are you using (for the welcome bag)? totes, paper? etc please send links where you have purchased or look..I appreciate it

I am 5 months from my wedding and I am in the slow planning mode... I have not done much and just started to freak out because time flies....

Thanks girls

4. Sams mother is using the bags from this website http://www.thedealrack.com/p-1435-wholesale-case-of-liberty-bags-boat-tote-7002.aspx

She ordered a sample and they are very nice plus they are available in multiple colors.

For our pre-travel mailers we are sticking to flat/paper... Easily mailed. They will get a detailed "passport" program with tons of info on the area, the wedding events and fun facts.... A luggage tag and a letter. Basic and simple. Their welcome bags are going to be much more detailed. I ordered canvas custom wedding totes on weddingchicks.com at their recent sale for 50% off and got a custom design for $3.25 a bag!! They will ship soon and will take a pic, but their quality is excellent and I love the design. We will be putting two tervis mugs with a davetdesign label, a pool float, a custom deck of cards, and a "do not disturb" door hanger. I may add a hangover kit but not sure at this point. Then all kids are getting a sand pail with toys, and a fun pair of sunglasses.

Our bridal party will of course get a special bag with more items but that's it for us!

@@kmk2016 Great idea, thanks for sharing..I went to weddingchicks and typed "wedding totes" and cannot get anything. Do you have the specific link? that price is great too! I think I have to click on "shop" and I was able to see some totes..they are at $10 each

mugs like this below with the davet design label on it?

the pool floats idea is awesome!! I really think you nailed it, thanks for sharing :) I will start with the first part and that is ordering the bags, then move to the next and that is what to throw in it. I also agree with you, I think we will do paper only for the pre-travel mailers, it is just too costly to do both as gifts.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
