@@Tiffany Fox I'm glad you guys had a fun night at the mojito bar, we are planning to head there after our reception too. I'm sad to learn the DJ is crummy, I'm not sure if I want to pay my DJ extra to stay.

@@kmk2016 your cocktail reception sounds really nice, I'm sure your guests will appreciate it.

Hi all ,

Just wondering if anyone has tried to negotiate any of the prices with your wedding coordinator group ? I just purchased a memorable moments ceremony package for our wedding in may , to the tune of 2900 which is fine because it's chock full of beautiful! But there are only 24 chairs, my group contains 88 people , I was thinking of getting white garden chairs for the extras , but they're 15.00 a chair ! I just think that's crazy my best friend just got married and had the same chairs and they were 4.75 a chair. I'm definitely a bargain hunter , is there anyone else out there that feels the same and if I should even bother trying to get a better deal?

Thanks !!!

I know that if you reserve the sky deck you get all the chairs you need (although they might not all be decorated like in the package) But it might be cheaper to pay the $15 per chair vs the 1700 to rent out the sky deck. Depends on what you want ;)

I've had no luck negotiating. Maybe I haven't tried hard enough or I'm not bringing them enough money with 50 guests but just an FYI. It might be easier to negotiate with the onsite coordinators

Extra chairs arent charged for I dont believe... as long as they are garden chairs. Chivaris are $14 a piece (I know cause I am renting them). Garden Chairs are included... but if you want the decor added that is included in the memorable moments package, then there would be a charge (Sashes etc).

I have 80+ guests booked and I am not being charged for extra chairs.. however I am on the sky deck

@mrsgordoncomeondown I got the same response as kmk from them when I asked. You get all the chairs you need at the sky deck but they're the garden chairs if you don't upgrade to their memorable moments. If you do, I'm guessing they give you the decorated Chivari chairs up to 24 and then you get simple garden chairs for the rest. Even their always and forever package only comes with 24 garden chairs and you have to pay extra for the rest so I'm guessing the only way to get away with not paying for them is to rent the sky deck but it's worth double checking with your WC

What type of fabric is everyone having their bridesmaids wear for their dresses? I want my bridesmaids to wear all the same fabric but I do not want them to wear a fabric that does not breath and they end up not looking very good because they are drenched in sweat. What fabrics has everyone used especially for the brides that have had weddings on the sky deck?

@@kmk2016 chiffon was my initial thought too:) I have read that on a couple of articles I have found that chiffon was good for weddings by the beach.

Originally I thought short but your idea makes me think that long is not a bad idea and some of my girls might want the long option. I saw a wedding on the webcam on the skydeck last week and the girls had long dresses.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the feed back I'm definitely going to run it by my WC. I really want it on the beach so we will see what they say!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
