Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hello ladies! I have booked my wedding at Azul Sensatori for May 24th, 2015. Am so excited that I have found this thread. You ladies are so helpful.

Does anyone have any links to local places around the hotel for flowers? We are having an indian wedding and the garlands they are suggesting cost a BOMB. Might be easier to make them ourselves :)

There are a couple florist recommendations in the review section of this site... Maya Floral is considered a popular one I believe (Marvin).... Keep in mind outside vendor fees could apply- so factor that in for your budget but I agree, going through Lomas for florals of any magnitude is expensive!!

@@Cj1053 I read your post about the Mojito bar. We are also doing our reception at Plaza Zavas and Mojito lounge after. Did you let Mojito Lounge know before hand that your party will be going there after? Are you able to request songs? Did they play fun, dance music?

At night we usually went to the mojito bar. Some of the evenings they had a live band playing. We did our 'send off' at the mojito bar but it wasn't quite a send off as we stayed and danced with everyone. I had brought bubbles and bells with us and while my husband and I were doing our last dance at Plaza Zavas, everyone went up to the mojito bar. When we arrived they were in 2 lines right inside the entrance and my brother had the band introduce us and we came in as everyone cheered and blew bubbles. The band then played a sweet love song and everyone danced with us. It was a fun way to keep things going as the reception flew by.

The mojito lounge was popular for my group as well this pass weekend BUT the DJ doesn't care about crowd enjoyment. He plays songs but isn't attentive to when he switches to songs that obviously no one likes and the dance floor clears. Lol He just continues to play whatever he wants. Guests were requesting songs and he would make those songs wait 15-20 mins although NO ONE would be dancing. Lol

After my reception, I spoke to management and they allowed my DJ to take over for the last two hours at Mojito. It was a BLAST!!!!!! The dance floor was PACKED until they turned the lights on and made him turn the music off.

Hi to all! I hope my question is not been answered or asked in the past week but I have been out of country for 8 days on vacation and just getting back to the wedding planning.

Any brides that had their wedding or is going to have their ceremony on the skydeck, do you have your reception on the skydeck after or elsewhere?

Tomorrow is dedicated to catching up in everything I missed. I believe one of the brides on here do get married this past Saturday so congrats to you(I will find out who you are tomorrow;)..and it was a sky deck wedding I am not mistaken?

At Sensatori you can only use the sky deck for ceremonies and cocktail reception following the ceremony- they can not accommodate receptions at this venue. Azul Fives allows for both reception and ceremony on their sky deck.

Oops sorry I meant skydeck cocktail after the skydeck ceremony. Sorry @@kmk2016.

Have any brides or future brides planning a skydeck ceremony having their cocktail hour up on the skydeck after the ceremony?

-Carrie

Yes.

That is what we have planned. We are hosting a cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony as the bridal party goes down to the beach for photos. Our friends and family are welcome to hang on the sky deck for a few cocktails and enjoying the view and mariachi band we have hired. Then our reception is being held at plaza Zavas following that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
