Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Lol! @@kmk2016

I totally hear you... It was honestly a last minute decision. I just kept thinking about how beautiful the ceremony pictures would look (which was most important to me) so I decided to splurge on the package. However, I brought the majority of my reception decorations down with me (chair sashes, paper lanterns, string lights, etc.)

which helped me justify spending the money a little bit! Lol

Oh, and @@CharBec - I found these professional pictures too which show the entire setup! Obviously, the sun was setting in these pictures so the colors are still appearing a bit darker but in the sunlight they are much more sheer.

Wow @@JMK923 thanks for posting your beautiful wedding photos. I have also opted for the Pure Glamour package and was searching for some 'real' wedding photos in the hope the package is all it promises to be! Your post has settled my nerves, they are incredible!

@@Ydolem Those are little bottles of Patron!  We are using maracas for the escort table for Mexican flare!  What are you doing for your favours?

We are actually thinking of using luggage tags as our escort cards so that they will double as wedding favours. So we really appreciate the info about where you got yours, they are really nice.

We're doing OoT bags too.

The maracas will be so fun!

It's Canadian Thanksgiving, so best wishes to everyone here regardless of if you are eating turkey today.

I just joined the topic and just started the planning process.

Read through a couple I post and already have found helpful info I did not think about. Such as bringing decorations down there and decorating for the welcome cocktail party.

I am thinking about having my ceremony on the Sky Deck and wanted to find out if anybody has had or I booked for it in the future? I am worries about the heat factor..

Carrie

Hi Carrie

I have also booked the skydeck-and would imagine as long as you avoid the strong midday sun you will be fine! Our wedding is 3pm, looking at videos posted it does look breezy up there aswell.

We also have s shade lounge up there as part of our package which is an option, it only seats 8 but stands more, depends how large your wedding is. Ours is only small with 14 guests.

Hi @@rebepax

Love your luggage tags also!

I've aswell looked at maracas as wedding favors, think they are a great idea! Did you source these yourself, and have any photos/links etc. I've seen there are some available through the WCs but I'd like different colors , and poss engravings?!

@@Beckyhoulton your wedding is going to be beautiful!

Thank you-feels like an eternity booking it, but now only weeks away its a bit more real!

I read on another thread that brides were having their check in wedding favors confiscated at the airport. anyone have that problem? I'm bringing tumblers and welcome bags and need to check them in because there's no way i can bring them all on as carry on

I read that too- and that's the first case of this I have ever read about in the thousands of posts about bringing items in... I'm not deterred. We don't know the entire scenario and it very well could have been that her bags/boxes appeared suspicious for other reasons and her boxes were gone through and items confiscated and destroyed for reasons totally unrelated to wedding favors. There is noting wrong with bringing items in that you don't plan on selling- and customs wouldn't just take them for no reason. (It was one instance relayed by a friend of someone it happened too, it didn't appear to be a pattern)

Not worried and still planning on packing them in checked luggage.

I'm planning to bring a lot of stuff for my wedding, and I'll bring receipts for anything possible. I think if you have a receipt and you aren't leaving anything in Mexico it should be ok.

Wedding this past Sat was PERFECT!!!!!! I brought 4 huge suitcases of decorations for both the ceremony and reception. The coordinators took the decorations, jotted down directions and I left. I was a NERVOUS wreck!!!!!

Wedding day came!!! My dress was steamed and delivered to my room. It was beautiful!!!! The ceremony decor was EXACTLY how I had envisioned!!!! They NAILED IT!!! The reception decor was PERFECT!!! They did an amazingggggggg job!!!

I had 70 guests and there wasn't a dry eye on the beach!!! I even had about 25 onlookers to stand at the glass railing and watch the entire ceremony.

The resort, weather, service, spa, staff..... It was all TOO PERFECT!!!!!

Customs did check my bags!! Saw that they were full of decorations and didn't unwrap things. They just asked what items were. They probably see these things all day. They were very swift and did not rearrange the bags or unpack them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
