Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

THANK YOU for that information! We won't bring a cutting set with us-one less thing to pack :)

@@raqpena Brigitte was originally my WC, and I have still only heard from her even after the team reorganization. It usually is 2 days-1 week to get a response, 3-4 weeks is way too long!

For the reception table set up it seems like there are round tables and the option of a sweetheart table. I'm wondering if anyone has considered doing a "head table" that includes their wedding party? We are having two bridesmaids and groomsmen, and I'm wondering if they would just put three of the sweetheart-sized tables together to make a "head table" type of thing. Thanks!

We're doing one long table for us two and the wedding party and round ones for everyone else :)

@@AllieH and @@TinkerSofi thank you for the seating information!

Canadian Brides FYI: We were feeling a bit left out of the Karisma promotions, coming from Canada, as we were not eligible for the free cocktail parties, etc. However, our TA was just able to negotiate a 20% discount for us to make up for this!

I feel the same way. Maybe we are getting the savings somewhere else but it really does seem kind of unfair that we get basically no perks for bringing so many people to them. When we booked their website didn't say anything about the free events being only for the US. I actually took a screen shot of the site so maybe they'll budge on that. I just had a feeling that they'd come up with something to not give us anything. Maybe I would have reconsidered if I had known that you get nothing at all.

I was told that we are eligible for the free events piece at Sensatori as a Canadian, (based on rooms booked) but NOT the free wedding package. I have this in writing however for 2016 the incentives aren't confirmed yet so this may not apply to me but was also told this offer is pretty standard and will likely be repeated. In addition, if you are working with a GI certified agent, there are other perks that the hotel gives you (a choice of three packages), so make sure you take advantage of that! Also if you attend the BdR there is the $500 credit to your account.

Remember to read the fine print- and fight for anything that you think you should get (like the screen shot).... Be the squeaky wheel and sweet as honey, and you will be rewarded!

@@kmk2016 yeah, sweet as honey is always my approach ;). I find you always get away with more things than trying to be mean, well aside from the fact that I can't be mean even when I try haha. I went into their website last week and now they added a small print detail, that the free unlimited events is for US only. I am sure they changed it recently because it wasn't there when we booked so that's what I'll be fighting for. I still haven't gotten any word of us getting any free events. Maybe they set this up once they have your whole guest list at the end? I feel so cheap, every time I e-mail them It's about whether something is free, or about the price of something that I end up not adding because it's too expensive hahah.

Hello Azul Sensatori brides!

What has your experience been with your wedding coordinators lately? I had been working with Lynda over the past 6 months and was pretty satisfied with her. Her response time was acceptable and she also seemed to understand my needs and update my details sheet quickly and accurately. Over the last month though ( ever since the changes they made) emails replies have taken 3 or more weeks and I am now working with several different people which is confusing and frustrating! I am fine with waiting a week....I understand how busy they must be, but with my wedding in 5 months, 3-4 wks to get a response to a simple question is just not ok. Have any of you experienced the same thing?

I was having issues at first getting a response, and I had my Travel Agent contact the WC's and got a response right away. Now, I get response within 1-2 days. My WC has only been Amy. Sorry you're having trouble, if you have a TA you may have them reach out.

Our invitations are out and we are really happy with them! Check them out below.

We ordered them from a designer on Etsy.

@@TinkerSofi and @kmk2016 I'm going to try that approach too, thank you! We are bringing 75 people for a week, I feel like we deserve something!

@@mrsnatalietobe your itinerary is super cute! I think I'm going to try and put something like that together.

I'm booked for the sky deck and did the BdR last June. We went up to the deck at 3pm to see the heat and the breeze was wonderful and the heat was not any more intense than on the beach. It was wonderful!

Make sure you read the "official Sensatori" thread too for tons of information!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
