Hi!!! My ceremony is at the Zocalos Gazebo (on the beach near the pier) on October 11th@@Cj1053 Ok That's a big help!!! So if I bring the Christmas lights that plug up they will figure the electrical/ socket out or do I need to get special lights that are battery operated?

We brought regular plug ones. At the top of the poles they have plugs. We brought 7 strands in case one broke on the way or didn't work.

Hey @@kmk2016 no worries :-)

Hopefully they can confirm it and just invoice me already for it.

Okay everyone, one last off the wall question. Does anyone happen to know which flowers are in season in Mexico during October? I have been trying to google this for days now and I haven't found anything concrete or reliable.

it's a great question!!

My advice is to stick with the most common flowers - roses, lilies, or orchids, and in the most common colors (e.g. blue orchids are a challenge, but white or purple are feasible). Oh, and birds of paradise are plentiful there. They'll have carnations and such too. More unusual flowers like ranucullus or dahlias might be harder to find and thus even more expensive.

As Tiffany said, many DW brides go the real touch route and do fake vs. real. then there's no question about what you're getting, and you can take it home with you. That was my choice, and no one even realized they were fake. and now they sit on my mantle. (or heck, you can resell it if you aren't the sentimental type).

Hello!

I'm getting married at the Azul Sensatori in March and I've learned so much from this forum. Thank you to everyone who has been posting, such valuable insight.

I'm sure I'll have queetions but I haven't finished reading through the previous posts yet.

Like many others I have found dealing with the Miami WCs very frustrating. Even with the team reorganization it takes them about a week to get back to us.

Hello again Ladies!!!

Is there a pool in close proximity to Zavas Plaza? If so, do they allow you to put floating candles in the water?

Yes it is directly next to the pool and you are allowed to do so. Keep in mind you would want to use se sort of weights with them or they will float away and would be rendered useless as the pool is very large and stretches out toward the ocean which is 200ft+ away.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
