Does anyone have any excursion recommendations? What was the best part of your trip besides the wedding? :)

I haven't had my wedding yet so still in planning stage but we will be leaving a lot of the week open for our guests to enjoy their vacation and don't want to plan toooo many events. That being said, we are hosting a welcome s'mores party on the beach/catamaran sunset sail the day after arrival, and then a golf tournament on the day prior to our wedding. We will also provide information on many of the excursions available but want put guests to be free to do as little or as much as they want- since a week goes by so quickly!

I'm told we receive a complimentary upgrade based on availability. Has anyone received an upgrade? To which type of room?

I think almost everyone gets upgraded to some degree! But I guess you can't guarantee it! For us we are opting for the premium section but a normal room. The reason for choosing the premium section was because some of the bonuses require one room booked at this level to be eligible and also for the free internet. The honeymoon suites get the same amenities as premium, regardless of where they are in the resort. But we were there in June and honestly the rooms are all gorgeous.

We booked the most basic room and were supp to be upgraded to the ocean view. Well the resort sent an email to my TA confirming our upgrade and wrote that we were upgraded to the honeymoon suite for the entire stay. Not sure how it happened, but we are happy about it. We leave in 8 days!!

Oh wow thats great!! Did you know you would be notified prior to the arrival day that you would be upgraded? I was under the impression that we wouldnt know until we got there.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
