Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

@@JMK923 your pictures are great! So pretty. I have a few questions bc your ceremony set up is very similar to what I would like. How much were your flowers on the gazebo? You may have done a package, so this may be a stupid question. Did you bring the sashes or sheers or anything like that yourself? What about your mr and mrs sign? Did you bring those? Thanks so much! Congrats on your marriage!

For the ceremony setup I purchased the 'Pure Glamour' package so all the decor for the gazebo and shade lounge was included. The only items that were not included were the sand ceremony shadow box set, and a sign for the beverage table - I brought that stuff with me.

For the cocktail and reception dinner, I brought my own chair sashes as well as some other miscellaneous things. I brought the Mr and Mrs signs as well - I purchased those from a vendor on Etsy.

Thank you so much, and congrats on your upcoming wedding! Let me know if I can answer anymore of your questions :)

We had one table of 9 and everyone was comfortable. I also asked my Miami WC Lynda ahead of time for her opinion, and she said that the round tables are large enough for 9 people, but 10 people would be too much.

Also, I would absolutely suggest doing escort cards especially for 42 people. Otherwise, it's just way too confusing for your guests. With a group that large, you need to give them direction.

I asked the FI and he does not want people to be too crowded so I will go with 3 tables of 8, 2 of 7 and one with 6 (the wedding party). Thanks to all for the feedback.

Hello all,

I just posted this in another thread but thought I would pass on to brides who are sorting out flights....

We live in Austin and found some decent priced flights to Cancun. However, I looked more into the airlines and the extra fees were unreal. (Spirit airlines was one of them) There were fees for each bag checked, fees for a carry on and fees for choosing your seat. Also if you didn't add your booked bags at the time of purchasing your ticket and did it at the airport the cost shot up. Since I'm carrying on my dress and extra bags for decorations this was not going to work. So while the flight looked cheaper, in the end after all the fees about the same or more as big airlines. My dad called American Airlines and explained that we were having a wedding and lots of ppl would be flying. American set us up with a 5% discount code for all our guest flying to/from cancun. They can fly in from anywhere and not just austin. I even have family coming from England and New Zealand. Also they have us around a 2-3 week window of when ppl can fly and use that discount and not just 3/4 days. While 5% isn't a huge discount it is something and always helps. :)

Hello!  Does anyone know if Azul offers cloth napkins? And if so, do they provide napkin rings? Or is that something we should bring?

Thanks!

They do have cloth napkins. However they are usually just folded nicely or around the cutlery. They do not have napkin rings, and I don't know that they even have them to rent. If you feel you need them, you will have to bring them. But depending on your party size, that could be a lot of baggage for you.

We had paper wraps. If you look at my planning thread there is a photo there. A lot lighter and takes up less room in the luggage. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/topic/59569-murmels-planning-journal-pic-and-template-heavy/

Did you buy your own sheers for the gazebo? If so, what size did you buy for the gazebo? Thanks!!

I actually had them 'gifted' by resort because i had gone out and bought my sheers based on the old gazebo and wasn't informed on the change so i kinda caused a stir becuase i was pretty upset about the wasted money.

Hey all - i can't post pics here because i don't have enough posts - but do check out Sarani weddings. She has uploaded some of our wedding pics - and also has her weddings organized by hotel so you can see all the azul ones she has done! You can also see the Trash the dress photos she does :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
