Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I just purchased my chair sashes from tableclothfactory.com.  They recently had a 20% sale, so the sashes that were normally 75 cents were 49 cents each. Their sashes are crystal organza. Tablelinendirect.com has organza sashes for 45 cents each and crystal organza for 99cents each.  Crystal organza is darker and has more shimmer.

I priced fabric for the gazebo sheers on Amazon for $25 each.  I decided to purchase the exotic gazebo (thanks Murmel) because I get the two sheers, two large hanging corsages, and rose petals from 48 flowers for $250. I'm trying to limit how much luggage I'll have to pay for.

Aww!! You should be getting very excited - June will be here before you know it!

Joe said they paid around $100 to go scuba diving but he said that your fiance and the guys should probably spend their money on another activity. He said the site where they take you is only 25 feet deep so you are equalizing the entire time. They only went for one dive, no one wanted to go back down for a second time because their ears were starting to ache.

We got a shuttle van through the hotel to take us to Cancun. I think it was $20 per person round trip, and $30 open bar at Congo. It was SO much fun. I definitely recommend doing this!

When I initially sent out our wedding invitations, we invited 250 people, so I included an itinerary within the invitation and indicated that there would be a Rehearsal Dinner for our immediate families at Spoon on Friday night. So, they were all already aware. But, as we got closer to our wedding and I had a final count (which worked out to be 40 people exactly) I just told everyone as I saw them that we were having a welcome dinner Friday night and to spread the word. Everyone ended up coming so it worked out.

I still haven't received any of our professional pictures from our wedding day, and I think most of you will probably be married by the time I do! So, please keep in mind these were all take on our guests phones and they do not do ANY justice!! Enjoy :)

@@JMK923 thanks for sharing. Everything looks great! Question: did Azul Sensatori provide any free spot lighting for plaza zavaz? Our reception will be there so I'm trying to figure it all out beyond my lanterns and string lights thank you!

@@rebepax The wet bikini bags were a huge hit! Everyone thought they were really unique. I'm sure your guests will love them.

@@cocosho The lighting was perfect. All I brought was paper lanterns (with throw lights in them) and string lights too. There are lights around the area which you can kind of see in my pictures, and a few of the palm trees have string lights tied around too. The pictures appear way darker than what it was really like. I also added 3 votive candles to each table (because I was thinking the same thing, that it would add a little extra lighting) but the candles aren't really necessary - they just looked pretty!

Hi all -

I just came across this page today and am getting married on 6-9-14 at Azul Sensatori.  Any advice on which locations to book for cocktail hours and private dinners?  We have booked enough rooms to have unlimited events so want to be able to have a variety throughout the week.

Welcome Kiara,

My wedding is 3 days before your wedding. We decided to pay for private events for the Welcome Cocktail Party (Zocalo Terrace) and reception (Zavas Plaza) because I wanted specific venues. I only qualify for 1 unlimited event and we are using that as the cocktail hour between the wedding and reception. There are several beautiful locations at the resort. Check out the pictures on the Official Azul Sensatori forum.

I hope we get to see you while we are there!

Jenny

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
