If the weather does work out for you, the other spot I would suggest would be the Yoga Palapa on the beach. They would usually set up a dance area on the yoga palapa and the tables/chairs on the beach in front of it. Beautiful spot as well. Keep us posted! And I would talk to the wedding coordinators as soon as you get there to find out what the plan is!

Oh heavens. Our wedding is November 15th. I am super close to a heart attack right now.

For the ladies getting married later in the week, I will post an update after our wedding to let you know how it goes. I'm not overly concerned for us on Nov 11 because the forecast isn't looking great anyway... So I am sure we will be moved to an indoor space. At the end of the day, I am sure they will find a spot on the resort that fits each of our weddings! I had been hoping for an outdoor beach wedding, but as long as I am surrounded by happy family and friends - that is all that matters! :) On a seperate note - if anyone wants table number holders (we have 12) or paper lanterns with LEDs (colors: light blue, turquoise and white), let me know!

Yeah, this was the original location planned for our reception.  It may turn out not to matter anyway because the forecast is calling for rain.  The only site we have heard mention of as an alternative is a ballroom, but we hope to figure out some other options.  We leave in under 2 days and then will have a day and a half there, so things could change!  I just wanted to let anyone know that is getting married here in the next month or so (???) that you may want to look at a back-up plan.
I wish you all the best for your wedding next week! You will be beautiful and happy no matter what the weather is like. :cheer2:

700

I'm also freaking out since our wedding is Nov 17 and we have 100 ppl so not sure where they can accommodate that many guests, besides the ballroom.

Hi Girls, Just wanted to give an update on plaza zavaz, as of this morning it was still not up. We had our wedding in Friday. We had our cocktail party as planned at palapas yoga and then changed to the ballroom for the reception. To be honest they did a good job with the vision I had(especially after having changed the location at last minute). Everything went beautiful and at the end we were surrounded by our family and friends which was the most important part. At first I freaked BC I had my heart set on zavaz but there wasn't much I could do. Friday night it started to rain a bit so in the end I guess it worked out that I chose something indoors. Don't fret! Everything will work out in the end.😄

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
