Hello all! Just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing any troubles with their Miami wedding planners lately?? I've been planning my wedding since February and have already gone through 3 planners (elizabeth, perla and now Fabio). Fabio doesn't seem to have a sniff so I'm starting to get concerned! Hopefully they hire some more experienced planners before my date!....

Hi

Hi Leah! I'm getting married the same weekend! April 25, 2014. We should connect and discuss. Maybe we could split some of the outside vendor fees? I've heard of some other people on this thread doing that, although I'm not sure how it would work since we are different days. We should definitely talk though - if you're interested. Might be helpful for both of us. :) Elizabeth Hi Elizabeth and Leah! I'm getting married on April 23, 2014. Would love to chat and hear more about your ideas! Michelle

What type of problem are you having with them? Often they are slow to reply, especially if your wedding is far into the future. As far as I know Elizabeth and Fabio are two of the supervisors and usually quite good. But again wondering exactly what is frustrating you?

Hi there, Elizabeth actually left about six months ago to go and do her Masters. When Fabio responded it was as if he hadn't even read our file (e.g. Didn't know about our reception location, etc), which I found pretty frustrating....hopefully it gets better or I get a new planner assigned!

Hey there! I'm getting married on the 23rd and gave booked Samuel Luna as well. Are you just paying the vendor fee? I think I may look into 3 night accommodation cost first. Michelle

I starting planning with Lynda Gomez in November of 2012 and just had my wedding last week. In the beginning things were very rough and I did complain to Fabio who really got things turned around. Fabio would respond and say something like give him a day or two to work on it. Then he normally followed up. But in the end things did get resolved. Then working with them was great from Feb through the end. Just make sure to say exactly what problems you are having & don't hesitate to be a nag. This is your wedding!

Good luck

Hey I don't know if you mean long-term problems, or recently, but I hadn't heard from my planner in about 2-3 weeks and was wondering what was up. It turns out they had let someone go (or leave, you know how open they are about those things), and another person out, so they were short-handed and just addressing the weddings coming up immediately. This is what Lynda told me anyway. She has been my planner from the beginning, and I really have to say that it's been a good experience. I don't know if this helps, but I write all my questions/requests (down to the smallest detail, that's just how I am), then save it as draft for a couple of days, and once I have a few things, send it to her. I clearly title each topic (for example "CAKE", and "BANNERS") within the email... I think it makes it easier for her and for me. Then she responds to each one by basically doing the "see my responses in blue below". It keeps all my info in one email chain I can easily look back on, and I think it's easier to see what was said about what, and what's outstanding. Hope this helps, or at least calms your fears! :D

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
