JMK923... It is pretty funny. At first when I saw yours my heart sunk (like we showed up wearing the same dress LOL).. But quickly thought your guests don't cross with my guests so who will know LOL but everyone on the forum. Great taste. msnwink.gif

What rooms classifications are the majority of people going with?

Kaleigh,

I'm really unsure about this as well. Our TA is recommending that we book 10 rooms (half of them premium or suites), however, I'm thinking it would easier to block out 10 basic rooms and then, I assume, our guests could upgrade.

Does any one have any insight or experience with this?

Also, how far in advance did you all block out your guest rooms? We are 9 1/2 months out and I feel like our TA isn't in any rush.

You are definitely doing good 9 1/2 months out...none of it moves as fast as you think it should! Our wedding is November 1st...and we started booking rooms 7 months out(only because that's when we made the DW decision!) We decided to pre-book 15 rooms and we just split them between 3 categories(family side, adult only, and swim up adult only)...majority in the cheapest category on the family side. Our guests filled up the 15 rooms pretty quick, but I am SO glad we booked that many. We have 67 people and 33 rooms! Don't stress too much about the number or the category...I did at first and it worked out fine!  Once your guest start to book, they shift the rooms around! You shouldn't be locked into those categories...they are just like place holders!(at least that's what my TA told me!) **side note...These are also the only categories I had my TA price out for my guests...if they wanted another category or upgrade they just spoke with my TA individually. This just kept the email that was sent out concise!**

I will say that most of our guests are split between the least expensive on the family side and the least expensive on the adult only side. We decided on the Jacuzzi Swim up Suite for us...we are traveling to another resort for our honeymoon and wanted to wait on the crazy room until we are there! and...I am thinking we will not be in our room much the week of the wedding! Hope this helps! i am no expert...just my experience so far!! Hope this helps!

Hi Everyone, I am back from Azul Sensatori so I can answer some questions.  Also, I got to stalk 2 BDW brides during their wedding but I promised I would let them post about their wedding before i did :)
Yay! I was one of the lucky brides to run into Tammy while at Azul this past week. We just got back (had our wedding June 28) and already can not wait to go back!! Our wedding was seriously amazing and we had the best time ever!!! My guests have not stopped complimenting me on choice of resort, how awesome everything was and how they had the best time ever. Comments that were popular "Best wedding ever," "you seriously know how to throw a party," "your DJ was phenomenal!," "everyone at this resort is incredibly friendly and the staff bends over backward for you!," "your attention to detail and sentiment is unmatched- tour OOT bags, your decorations, programs, everything..." I could go on! Everyone absolutely loved Azul. I will wrote a review soon and post pis as soon as I get them. Our photographer (Samuel Luna) will post some teasers soon but the rest will take 8 weeks. In the meantime here are 2 teasers from my friends iPhone 400 400

Hi,

I was the other lucky bride that you bumped into.  We all had the time of our lives at the resort.  Everything was absolutely wonderful and perfect.  We could not have been any happier.  Everyone said the resort was absolutely amazing.  A full review and pictures will come soon.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
