Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I saw you asked about DJ All Music - we had them at our wedding at EDR in November. We really enjoyed them. They played everything we asked and nothing we didn't want played. They also followed our requested timing and kept our dinner/reception moving right along. If I can answer any questions about them, please feel free to PM me.

My FI and I have been doing a lot of research on Azul Sensatori.  It is definitely our top choice as of today. I have a few questions that I've been having a hard time finding the answer to.  Would love to hear what other brides have to say!  Our wedding will be in April/May of 2014 and we're estimating around 40-60 guests.

3. Did you use the preferred DJ?  DJ All Music I believe.  I looked at his website and it looks like it would be about $2000 to have him for the cocktail hour and reception.  Seems a little expensive but with the $800 vendor fee, I doubt we'd be able to bring an outside vendor in that would be any cheaper.  What was your experience with DJ All Music?  If you brought someone else in, how was it and (if you don't mind me asking) how much did it cost?

Hi Endiz,

We are GIVC and GI Wedding consultants with Karisma Hotels and are able to offer upgrades with our bookings.  Usually about 1 upgrade for every 5 rooms booked through us but it depends on factors like what room category they booked, if they book early enough, etc.

This thread has more info on wht rooms qualify, etc.: Wright Travel Agency: Karisma GIVC & GI Wedding Consultants

You can contact us:  Contact a Destination Wedding Specialist HERE if you would like more info.

We are planning on having the wedding in 06/2014, so we do have the luxury to wait for sweet deals.

Thanks!

Our photographer is a close friend of ours and will be attending the wedding anyways. She is staying at the hotel for 3 nights, and they did not have a problem with that. I'm pretty sure if you do not use one of the resorts "approved" photographers, then you will pay an outside vendor fee.
Usually with a photographer who is family or friend is "approved" by the resort. They are aware one of the guests is your photographer. But when it comes to a photographer who has been hired down there, and coming onto the property they have the right to approve/ not approve specific people. So at least let your WC know, so that you don't get caught out later.

I think promotions, upgrades and specials change constantly. Plus depended on your place of departure and your tour operator, they might have different deals. Highly suggest talking with a travel agent to see what is available to you for the possible date you have picked. And if you use a GI certified travel agent, they usually have some bonuses since they deal with Karisma directly. I can recommend Wright Travel...click on the link below in my signature for their deals and contact info! Good luck!

Hey we are getting married on November 16, 2013. We did hold 30 rooms with our reservation and was told at certain dates we will have the options of releasing some of those rooms back if we think they wont book up. We have only had about 4 rooms that have been booked so far. Seems like the same thing for us, people are saying they are coming, but just haven't booked yet:( When are you thinking you are gonna send out your invites?? Did you send out save-the-dates?? Thanks:)
Thanks murmel- I appreciate the input. Tarasteve- they should be out by the end of the month, there was an issue with the pkg containing the proof for my invites so I'm supposed to get the second pkg today. My vendor promised she wud put a rush on them once I give her the ok. I sent out save the dates back in November. I meant to get the invites out in February but the vendor I'm using was very backed up.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
