They are pretty good. Guys as long as they wear pants (jeans are fine), no issues. Mostly we saw guys wear jeans, summer khakis and golf style shirts. Girls ...basically everything except beachwear/swimwear is fine.

I didn't feel like they enforced the dress code AT ALL!!!  Especially at breakfast and lunch!!  There was a guy in short, short swim trunks at the Mexican restaurant one afternoon and they did make him tie his friends scarf type thing around his neck sort of like a shirt....but it was no where close to being their "dress code"  and there were all kinds of people in wet swim suits with just t-shirts over them.....didn't bother me, but I had sent the dress code to everyone attending the wedding because I was worried that it seemed sort of strict...we didn't think it was strict (or enforced) at all.

I should clarify ... The dress code is meant for dinner time. During breakfast and lunch, basically anything does go. But it is recommended that you not wear wet swimwear.(in consideration of other guests) Guys should wear a tshirt, and girls a cover-up, sundress, shirt, etc. Hope that helps.

I have just switched my venue from the sky terrace to the beach, now I am getting more and more excited. We just decided we wanted it a little more laid back then what we were originally trying to do. So excited! Lynda just confirmed it for us. Now I'm thinking about decorations, I was wondering what came with the beach wedding? Does the isle runner come with, or is it extra?

The wooden aisle runner, a small table (for signing the registry), and chairs (wooden, white, uncovered) for your guests. As well they provided a sound system with microphone, you just supply an iPod to play the music you want.

Hi ladies, just wondering if anybody has used the onsite spa for their hair and/or makeup and if you would recommend it or anybody working there in particular? I was at my brothers wedding in Cabo in January and my mom and I got our hair done at the spa on the resort (RIU Palace) and I had photos of everything I wanted (simple stuff, soft updo and basic smoky eye makeup, nothing crazy) and it turned out awful. $300 later We pretty much looked like Mexican hookers. So understandably I am a bit nervous to use the onsite spa now, but I cannot justify spending the $800 outside vendor fee for a outside company. Any opinions /photos/info you have would be much appreciated!!

I will be using the spa in May. With my package I get trail hair and makeup the day before, so I figure that should iron out any kinks.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
