Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

At the least you should get 20 percent off. Are you getting 8 hours of total time? I bet not. And also, Karisma is running unlimited free private events right now. Push back.
Ok I saw this recently as well as was wondering if anyone knows anything more about it? That's an awesome deal and I think it's only for new bookings but that sucks! Haha anyone have any further info about it?

That is so unfortunate! I don't understand... Are they no longer allowing outside vendors of any kind?

I know right, oh well it is what it is! I tried pushing back but they wouldn't budge on it. Not sure what the big deal/ issue is. Our discussion was only around the DJ vendor. I don't think that applies to all outside vendors because our photographer is a close friend of ours, and they are allowing her to shoot the event (and she is staying at the resort of course).... Thank goodness!!

Karyc- I actually did the same, I have it in writing from my WC that it is ok to book dj three nights and I will not have to pay outside vendor fee.  My WC is Erika.

My WC is Erika, too! Hmm... now I feel more confident about trying to switch to 3 night stay for my vendors vs Vendor fee. I would feel more comfortable, too, bc I am doing TTD photos the day after the wedding so the photographer will have to come back.

Be sure to read all the fine print...the unlimited free private events are not for all Karisma resorts and also sometimes are not offered to all customers/brides. (currently there is a free 'sweetheart' wedding package-but not for Canadian brides). Also the vast majority of private events are 4 hours....not 8!

It seems that the resort has some outside vendors that have been banned. (not that we would ever hear the reason or be offered the list) But perhaps the DJ you are looking at is on the 'banned list'? If you're not interested in the Lomas DJ's there might be others you could enquire about.

And yes, Karisma resorts still offer the options for outside vendors:

$800 fee (one time and one day ONLY. So if you want to meet them the day before you will likely have to pay a visitors fee, or you can leave the hotel and meet them off site)

OR  3 nights accommodation for the vendor (ie. they will be a full time guest of the hotel)

I think switching to the 3 night stay would work out better for you if you plan to do the TTD at the resort. If you are going elsewhere, just meet the photographer offsite.

Thank you! I just re-read the fine print for the Free Unlimited Private Events and I don't think I qualify but it never hurts to ask. You never know-- maybe they will offer me some other discount vs just saying no. Also, I just emailed my WC and my TA and told them I am going to book a room for mt vendors. Now I just need to email my vendors and let them know the scoop. :)

All of you girls are so helpful! I think this forum is so great. It's so nice to have the advice/tips/comments/ideas of other brides especially when we are planning "in the dark" a little. Sometimes I feel like there are things I wouldn't even know to ask about if it weren't for you ladies. SO thanks, girls!!! :)

Does anyone know if you book the 3 nights for a photographer, and they bring an asst do you need to book them as well? B/C then that works out more than the $800 vendor fee.  My photographer is bringing a 2nd photographer and I was getting ready to book the room when i thought about the assistant.  I guess this is how they get you b/c 2ppl works out more than the $800 vendor fee. So then that would apply to the dj as well... Thats suxs!!! Any of the previous brides have experience with this?

Please help.

We must literally be on the same wavelength bc I just had the SAME thought. I just emailed my DJ and Photographer to ask them what 3 nights the prefer and that's when I thought of it. I'm fairly certain my photographer is coming solo and I'm going to check on my DJ right now. Errr...... wasted money drives me craazzzzzyyy!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
