Welcome to the forum! I have added you to the offical roll call! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/84306/official-azul-sensatori-thread

As for partying...it is a quieter resort, very family oriented. So the good news is the kids will love it. The kids club is fantastic, and allows the parents to enjoy some alone vacation time! Every evening there is relaxing live music at the adult pool bar (saxaphone, or guitar usually) for a nice cocktail drink vibe. Then after dinner, the staff does a great job with entertainment (ie. a show). It's on the patio on the back part of the lobby (shows can include dancing, music, magic, comedy, etc.) Then after dinner there is always live music in the mojioto lounge. Plenty of room to dance the night away. As well if you're a big crowd the teen bar becomes a disco at night. There is usually a DJ down there that will play whatever music you would like. Now please remember most guests have kids, so there are not many people about past about 10pm. So it's not a huge party resort, but with a good crowd of friends you'll make it a party!

BM dress update- so the dress we ordered is floating in an abyss somewhere, with a wishy washy delivery date from anytime now to 30 days- ridiculous no? So I hate House of Brides- do not order from them ladies!!! On the positive note, we found a dress just yesterday that is long, chiffon and in the same colour family as the original; and the seamstress at the store is awesome and said no problem that alterations can be done for tomorrow evening!

Thank you to all you ladies who had your fingers crossed for me and offered lots of helpful advice and suggestions!!! Lots of love :)

Yipppee!! So excited for you. One week to go!

I am so glad to hear you found a similar dress that will work. I am really sorry that the first dress never arrived, but good for you for not panicing and finding a solution! And now that you've gone through that the rest is going to be easy sailing!

Enjoy your week! Safe flight. And best wishes for a beautiful wedding!

Our trip was fabulous and the wedding was AMAZING!!  Not a thing went wrong with the wedding at all!!  I had to laugh when I had to sign a paper saying that I was choosing to get married on the beach with unfavorable weather conditions.  We had the MOST beautiful weather anyone could EVER ask for!!!

I'll post just a few pics in another post and will get a full review up later.  No one should be stressed out about their actual wedding though, the wedding coordinators are amazing and you can tell they do this multiple times a day!  Our wedding was PERFECT!!

Thanks for the update, Rachel. I'm so happy you had such an amazing time!!

Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I are getting married at AS on 6/15/13!  I've been busy reading the pages and pages of all the useful information on here.  Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) with the DJ's offered through Lomas.  I saw that there are two different options DJ All Music and/or Mega DJ?  Are these to be booked with your coordinator?  I already have an email out to my coordinator but thought I would come here for any tips and/or advice!  Any past experiences or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats Rachel!! We leave on Feb. 13th and get married on Feb. 16th!! Your post (and photos) made me feel SO much better. I have started to stress about the little things and cannot wait for my first meeting with the wedding coordinator when we get there. I'm just ready to see it all together :)

Hi!

I'm an EDR bride, and we used DJ All Music for our wedding in November. They were great!! They followed our requests and playlists (we filled out a detailed spreadsheet at their request before the wedding) and they made the whole dinner/reception flow nicely.

The difference between the two (DJ All Music and Mega DJ) seem to be the level of set up. DJ All Music included the MC and a DJ - so we had someone announce everything for the reception (that was nice not to have run/worry about it).

There are some videos of the DJs on the Lomas site too if you'd like to check them out. I'm happy to answer any questions as well - just let me know.

Thanks, Allie! I just heard back from my WC and you're right - the difference being the MC.

Thanks for your input!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
