Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Reading through your guide now. May 5 is only a holiday in the state of Puebla and is not a holiday in Riviera Maya. Cinco de Mayo is really an American holiday :)

I finally heard back from her today.  Thanks ladies!

I'm starting to get my planning going, the wedding isnt til November but feel like I have so much to do. On another note, I wanted to have the reception at Plaza Zavaz but its booked for my day... :-( Need to look into a new locaton... I think I am going with the palapa yoga for the cocktail party before the reception but now back to square 1 with the actual reception.  I really wanted to use the lanterns but can you use those indoors?

Welcome to the forum!!!

I don't have any pictures to share with you, but I am having my reception at Zocalo Al Fresco in 2 weeks from tomorrow, so when I get back I will let you know.  How many guests are you expecting?

So far it looks like I'll have about 40 guests. I'm weary about Plaza Zavas because I don't know how private it will be and didn't want to pick the ballroom because I feel like it takes away from the whole idea of a destination wedding. I think Zocalo would be perfect so long as it's not too narrow.

I'd love to see pics when you get back. and CONGRATS!

murmel-

I just read through the Sensatori forum you're working on- one topic made me a bit nervous- sand fleas on the beach!!! eeek -_-

My reception will be on the beach from 7pm-11pm, is this going to be a problem? I don't want my guests being bitten while eating their dinner yikes!

I think most airlines are quite accommodating to brides, but they usually only have the overhead bins to store things. So be prepared to have to fold your dresses in half and squeeze them in. (sorry) I think putting them both into one garment bag will be helpful, plus only one thing to concentrate on. I would try boarding the plane as soon as possible to try and get an overhead bin for yourself....and if you're really lucky you can check with the flight crew if they have a closet where they can hang it. (but don't count on this...there are very few planes with closets now a days.)

Any updates on the bridesmaid dress?

Hi Brides! I'm so excited to have came across this forum. All the advice and feedback I've read so far is awesome and SO helpful!! Our wedding date is February 8, 2014 at AS. Any other February 2014 brides on here?! I'm in the somewhat early stages of planning... Sending out save the dates, selected ceremony and reception locations, and slowly working through all the details.

LOL, I know! I'm literally looking up bug spray right now to add to the OOT bags.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
