Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi Christine!

I am so glad to know someone who is getting married right before us! You will have to leave me a note at the front desk or something if you have any last minute advice ;)

Also, thank you so much for bringing up the info about Mexican customs... I'm sure I wouldn't have thought about that until the day we left for the airport!

Thank you! I did something really similar and ordered it from magnentstreet.com where we ordered our save the dates!

I see Tammy has already replied to you, but check out the amazing Bride Dress Rehearsal deal below in my signature! Great way to check out the beautiful resort and enjoy some sunshine!

Do you know if you will have to pay the $800 dollars for the outside vendor fee for both your photographer and DJ, since they are both outside vendors? Or, is it a one tme only fee?

Unfortunately it is $800 for EACH outside vendor you use. Or you can have the vendor stay for 3 nights or more (depending on your room rate this might help).

Ladies, as you know I've very new to BDW as I can't book my wedding until April I m trying to start buying/planning as much as possible and wondered if you could answer a few questions please... As I'm going for the pearl package and want my wedding in the Gazebo on the beach have any of you seen any others use Taffeta to decorate the gazebo? If so how does it look? I cannot find these crystal acrylic bead back drops (for the gazebo) anywhere in the UK..has anyone got any idea where I can find them? Do you know if the hotel offers any fireworks or the reception? Hi Jenny!

Did you have a chance to check out Zocalo Alfresco and Plaza Zavas while you were at the Azul? Which did you like better? Are they truly private areas? Is there any other location that you think would be good for a private dinner and reception?

The pictures they have make it really hard to tell much of anything and I'm trying to solidify my dinner and reception location.

Also, was there any places you saw that would be good for the cocktail hour before dinner?

Thanks for your input!! :)

I'm so excited, too! Apparently (according to my WC) there is a wedding the same day as mine :/ and the day after mine as well, but I haven't been able to find or get in touch with either of those girls.

This is so ironic.. my colors are purple (plum shade), wisteria (similar to lavandar) and peuter grey! If you chose to do purple as well we could definitely coordinate how to share certain decorations, etc! I like your idea of purple and teal, as well :)

I have a lot planned, but then again I feel like I don't....

I have: a photographer (Samuel Luna), a DJ (DJDoremixx), all locations picked and reserved for ceremony, cocktails, and reception, menus for cocktail and reception including cake, flights and room booked, dress, my FI ring, invitations sent, spa appointments booked, reservation booked for rehearsal dinner as well as a request for an actual rehearsal, invitations sent, 34 guests booked, a FEW things purchased for OOT bags... and TONS of info saved on my computer about where to order certain decorations that I like and plan to make. Sounds like a lot, but i know I still have soooo much.

How about you?? What have you planned so far??

Wow, you have so much more done than I have.  I need to really catch up.  We only sent save the dates, blocked off hotel rooms, booked our photographer and got my dress.  We also picked our locations for ceremony and reception. Where are you having your reception? Which menu did you pick and what are you doing for center pieces?  I need to get started on the OOT bags soon and look for sheers and chair bows for the ceremony.  I just bought lanterns for gazebo decoration and stringed lights for reception.  Not sure what else to use.  Any suggestions?

WOW!! LOVE!!! Job well done, your guests will love these! I was thinking of just going the Vistaprint route for pre-wedding brochures. I can't find enough hours in the day to do anything myself lately LOL I'll be sure to share once I have a preview ready =) I bought a Groupon I paid $17 for it and it's $70 worth of goods from Vista! Wahoo!
I made my brochures on vista print! They came out super cute. Ill try and post a picture later. =) vista print products come out great!

Hi Gina!

I did the pick & choose menu for our EDR wedding. We had everyone choose their entree as part of their RSVP. I had a list of everyone's entree choices in excel that I gave the resort, and then also had the place cards "coded" with the entree choice. The orange starfish was one entree, the blue scallop shell was another, and then the blue trumpet shell was our vegetarian option (we had 2 vegetarian guests in our party). Here's a photo of the place cards I did:

And then I forgot to tell the resort what the "code" was, but fortunately they had the list, and they used the name cards against the list to hand out the entrees.

I had our menus printed with a thank you note on the back. The resort put them on each setting, wrapped in the napkin - it was a great presentation!

Hope that helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
