Hi.. I need help.  I was going to just use the ipod and amp for the reception but now I'm worried it wont be good and I'm looking for a DJ.  I really can't afford the outside vendor fee to use Doremixx even though I really want to.  He quoted me $800 for the reception.  Is that what others are being quoted?  Has anyone used any of the DJ's from Lomas?  That outside vendor fee is so much!  Doremixx tells me that the prices are going up and I need to book by Nov. 15th so I need to make a decision quick.  Please help.  Thanks so much!!!!

Hi dawn, we just had our wedding at edr with dj all music from lomas. These guys were GREAT. We gave them lists of songs, and filled out a spreadsheet. They mixed the music and kept it moving. Everyone had a blast, and we danced the entire time. We has dinner music, an mc to announce everything, and then all of the formal dances. Then a party and a half. You can use them with confidence!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU..... :)  Did they do all the announcements or did you have to have someone do it?  I REALLY appreciate the information.

They did them all. The price for dj all music includes an mc, and he kept the "events" on track based on what I reviewed w our onsitecoordinator. There's a spreadsheet they have you fill out. I'm happy to email it to you later this weekend when we get home.

Hi

We got married in Mexico in April this year and it appears our birth certificates have gone missing.  Has any other UK brides been married there and had their birth certificates returned?

Someone has told me that the equivalent Mexico Registrar keeps the original and that this will never be returned

I hope someone can help.

Thanks

Kim

Hello Everyone!

I'm new to posting, but of course I've been stalking the boards for a while now :-)

Our date is almost set, don't want to jinx it, but I really wanted to know what time everyone picked for their ceremony, and why?

We are looking at the Sky Deck next November, and I know sunset is at 5pm, and we would like to strike a balance between not too hot, yet still light out... Any experience with that?

Thanks in advance!

XOXO, Kaya

My ceremony is at 4:30, with sunset being at 5pm you can get the best light for pictures right before sunset.  Also I would like to have some actual sunset pictures.  The sun actually sets on the non beach side of the resort, but I still figure the sky/ocean will be beautiful at sunset.  My wedding is in January, so I'm not too worried about too hot.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
