Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am a UK bride who is lucky enough to be getting married at the Sensatori in May 2013 and have stumbled across this forum. I don't normally post on forums but I thought this was a great way of communicating with other brides getting married at Azul Sensatori.

I have been reading through some of the thread and I have found some of the information very helpful as you all seem to share the same concerns as I did.

I have noticed I share the same WC as some of you, Erika, she has been helpful so far.

So far we have sorted out the ceremony and dinner. We are also having a S'mores party on the beach in the evening. Being from the UK we don't really know much about S'more parties but Erika has told us it the closest thing we could get to a bonfire on the beach. We are very unsure about what to do with regards to photography and music. It seems very expensive for such a little time frame and we also have to take into consideration that we are having a wedding reception back in the UK for family and friends who cannot come to Mexico.

At the moment we are booked into a standard room but our travel agent advised us that we maybe upgraded due to us being a wedding couple. What are other peoples experience of this?

Thanks

From my understanding, the lowest room category & least amount of days booked in your wedding party will be what's deducted from your total stay. So, if even 1 guest booked lowest cat. room and stays only 3 nights, that is what you'd be credited. So if you're staying longer & in a higher category, they'll deduct the total from what you paid. According to my travel agent, about 2 weeks prior to the departure date, the resort will review total rooms booked & refund you what's owed.

Hope this helps =)

WOW!! This is a bit disappointing. I have a few ppl that I know are just going to stay for 3 days in a standard level room. So doesnt sound like I will get much of a discount. Does anyone know how the B&G stay free works if you are getting the free wedding and are required to stay in Premium level rooms for 7 days? Do you still qualify for discount?

I stayed at Azul Sensatori and had my presentation at ED Royale.  I met with the coordinate at AS on Friday and the site tour did not take long (max 2hrs) but my FI and I opted to relax  by the pool for the rest of the day on Friday, so shame on us for not wanting to visit the other Karimsa resorts. Also, we were able to get reservations to try out Le Chique on Friday night so this was a plus! On Sat, we went to ED royale for our presentation which took about 4 hours (i think..it was definitely long). They give a detailed presentation on all of Karisma hotels and the differences between all of them and they go through the wedding packages and you do the food tasting and dessert tasting. After that we did a site tour of ED Royale and then went over to Azul Beach And Azul Fives. By the time we were done it was around 7 (i think)...sorry exact details are a big foggy b/c it was about 12-13 months ago...

If you want to visit a lot of the different resorts, you will most likely need to spread them out between Friday and Saturday. I really do not think you will be able to do the presentation on Saturday and visit all of the places unless you only want to do a 2-3 other site tours. In that case you should be able to squeeze all of that in on Saturday.

But as soon as you arrive on Thursday, let them know which places you want to visit and they will help you plan it out and arrange for the transportation.

Thank You. This helps me get an idea of how our weekend will go. I am also staying at Azul Sensatori and having the presentation at ED Royale! I believe it is at 930am Saturday. Transportaion is free right?

As long as someone in your party has booked a premium room....and I believe that it can be multiple rooms, totaling 7 nights.  So if two people in your party had a premium room one for 3 nights and one for 4 nights you would qualify.  I'm pretty sure that is what I understand.  Hope this helps :)

yes transporation from AZ to your presentation at ED is for free. And free transportation if you want to visit the other karisma resorts. If you are interested in trying out Le Chique, definitely tell the consultant as soon as you arrive on Thursday. If you and your FI are foodies people then i would highly recommend Le Chique! :)

We also found the photography packages to be quite expensive.  We are using the hour included in our package for the ceremony and some before pictures.  For the reception, we are asking our guests to be so kind as send us their digital pictures.  We also found Holga cameras by a google search on amazon.com.  They are inexpensive and take really artistic pictures.  We got one that we are loading with color film and one to load with black and white film.  I also have a dear family friend that has agreed to be sure that she photographs some of the key moments at the reception.  By doing this we saved tons of money on pictures our guests would have taken anyway.  Plus putting the Holga cameras on the tables really helps to draw everyone in to participate in the reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
