Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi jenya!

The only way around the outside vendor fee of $800 is if the vendor is a guest at the resort- Which means booking a room for them for minimum of 3 nights [of course!] I did this for my DJ & photographer, here's how we did it:

For the DJ, since they only need to be there the day of, we have to book at least 3 nights to waive the outside fee, but with our great rates 3 nights still came out to $600 or so, therefore we still saved money. Our photographers wanted to meet up before the wedding, so instead of having to pay a day pass for both of them [more than $100 for both], we decided to book 3 night stay for them as well. Since there are two of them coming, we offered to pay up to the amount of the outside fee for their stay [up to $800], if they paid the balance. At least this way, I get to work alongside with my photographer and even though it was still $800, it was being used for something rather than just an obnoxious "entry fee". And the photgrapher & her husband agreed to pay the difference [they wanted a "break" & time to relax], so all worked out! Hope this helps =)

I checked his website. Pictures are not bad, especially like " trash the dress" ones, but they are a bit overexposed.

The fact that we have to pay $800 extra at Azul Sensatori really kills me. Any way around that?

Hi Nicci-

oh no  eek.gif

OK.. so it seems you have only a few weeks before you depart to your DW. Take that dress & your BM to the best seamstress you know. Sometimes, it's better to go where you bought the dresses from, so if need be they might be able to order extra material in the same color/fabric. They will make it work. Do it ASAP, so you don't have to worry at the very last minute. Ask your BM if she's willing to do whatever it takes to make it fit [even if it means shedding a few lbs]. I don't want to sound rude, pardon me if I do, but if she waited until now to try it on, she has to be willing to do anything necessary to fit back into it. But, I can say I've seen BM's  before not being able to zip their dress at all & the seamstress pretty much created a whole new dress in a a few days to fit. It's possible, don't stress, but let your BM know to handle this right now and it will all work out =)

I agree with the other girls, take the dress to a seamstress first and see what can be done. They truly are mircle workers! And even though it might cost a bit, at least it should work. The other thing is it the correct size that was ordered? Did the bridal salon have a mix up?? Good luck and keep us updated.

Hey Jenny,

Who did you book for your photographer and DJ?

I also booked outside vendors and was going to pay for them to stay 3 nights because it is cheaper than the outside vendor fee. They both have no intention of staying there. Do you think it will be a problem that we do this? Lynda said it was fine, I just don't want to get there and have any issues.

I didn't even think of day passes for the photographer! I think they want to meet before the wedding and I think the DJ does also.

Thanks!

We ordered the dress online. We measured her here (a few times!) and she was scattered between size 10 and 12 so she decided to get the 10... she definitely should have gotten the 12!! I've given her phone numbers of every good seamstress I could find but she says she "doesn't feel well" and will call another day. I've been waiting a week now for her to do something about it. I can't do everything myself!! Oh, and she is also my MOH.

Hi ladies!

I know this has been asked a million times but I just want to make sure before I order my fabric. For the sheers for the gazebo on the beach- 12 meters by 1.5 meters right? And usually people get 2 of them? My colours are blue and green so I am assuming I should do one of each colour? Thanks for your help.

ps- the place I am ordering the organza from can only make the width 1.4m, this should not be a problem should it?

Check out Ling's Moment online and Ebay for chair sashes and fabric for the gazebo. I ordered enough sashes for the ceremony and reception b/c I could not bother paying Lomas $4/chair and they were so much cheaper! AND the organza I found for $10/m in stores here, they are giving me the 12m piece for $30 (that's including shipping!) Hope this helps!

Hi Everyone! My name is Alyssa and I am getting married at the Azul Sensatori on July 12, 2013! I am having my ceremony on the beach and reception outside at Plaza Zavas.

I can't believe I am involved with any blogs on-line...I am not a girl of my generation..I am not on Facebook or any other social media...I am not even sure I know what I am doing on this website..lol..I will say that threw reading these post you ladies have all help me TREMENDOUSLY!!! Thank you all for posting such useful information!!

I have a wedding planner/travel agent here in New York that has been an amazing help in the process of booking my wedding. I don't even contact the Azul coordinators because any questions I have I ask her and she contacts them and gets back to me rite away. Anyone looking to book a DW in the NY area I will be more then happy to give you her information. She is the best thing that happened to my fiance and I!!

I had planned on ordering all my decorations from Lomas however I also felt like they are a rip off!!! It looks like I will bring as much stuff as I can including chair bows, lanterns, seating cards ( I am using sand dollars), beach signs, sparklers, and maybe even table decorations..such as my own napkins, table runners and menus.

MY BIGGEST concern is music..I planed on having a DJ for cocktails and the reception. I know the outside vendor fee is $800 and I already gave my free room to our photographer. Anyone who used a Lomas Dj or has any help please contact me...

Also what did previous brides do about music for the ceremony??

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
