Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Thanks ladies!! It seems the policies at AS change very often, or each WC tells us something different!

I've asked my WC about this, I'm hoping I can use Fresa!

One more question about Fresa, hoping either of you can help: I can have them provide only certain services, correct? I don't need everyhting for our ceremony & reception, we're looking to have Fresa only do cupcakes, cake, and maybe some decorations.

JSAL- Is the resort charging you for having Fresa come in to set up for your wedding? And what is pricing like, on average? I requested info from Fresa, but haven't heard back yet. From what I've read in earlier posts in this forum was that they were way cheaper than Lomas prcies. I feel like everyone is cheaper than Lomas LOL

Speaking of which, our cocktail & reception locations, which we thought we reserved & confirmed,  actually weren't available [after I mentioned the location, my WC then decided to tell me about how they changed locations w/o telling me] BC of this we have to do reception on the beach, which is fine, but changed our entire layout & decor! So now we requested sheers to hang around the area and poles for lights, etc. Lomas wants to charge me $100 PER SHEER- for ONE piece of fabric, and they're telling me I need 12!!! Isn't that crazy!! I guess I'll be lugging a bag full of sheers down myself mad.gif

Maybe they are only allowed for 2012 weddings and the policies changed for 2013? They should really give an explanation to you as why the vendor is not allowed.

Hey Ladies... get this wonderful news I just got... my final payment is due in 17 days and I was just told that to avoid having to pay for day passes for guests staying at El Dorado Royale I needed to have a private dinner not just a private event... I have 6 guests staying at Royale.... and it is going to cost me $480 for all of them to attend my beach cocktail party the evening before my wedding for 2 hours!!!!!! I can not believe this information was not shared with me during the past 18 months of planning my events...Karisma is on my last nerve!!!

Hola Hola Fresa's!!!!!

This is Kristee from Fresa Weddings and I just wanted to let you all know that I am just as confused by the constant changes over there at Azul! I have in fact been allowed to do some beautiful weddings there, and this "No more Outside Vendors" is all new to me too! I am currently working with quite a few couples for their weddings and I believe they are all quite happy! As a matter of fact I jsut had one of my brides send a message this week to confirm and this is a copy of her question and the response she received.

This is the response I received from them last month:

  • I just wanted to confirm that Fresa can drop off some flowers and the cake pops I have ordered. Can you please let me know that this is ok? Yes, Fresa can drop off boutonnieres/corsages and the cake pops. You will need to sign a waiver for the cake pops.

As you can see it seems it may be a different answer depending on the WC your talking to? Either way Fresa is here to help in any way that we can! I know that it is not in Azul's "Best Intrest" so to speak to have Fresa provide things for your weddings as they have a deal with Lomas.  However It makes me so upset to see that they seem to change their policies to suit themselves, this is not right! I am here to help ensure you all have the very best and most memorable day here in Mexico...PERIOD! I hope this info can help you all in some way!

Please also keep me informed:)

Kristee

Okay, can't help much with Lomas constant changing of policies. However on the beach for the gazebo you need 2 sheers! (So even though it is still stupid, it would be $200 for white. It's $150/sheer for colors) I don't know if it was a typo? There also used to be a package with the sheers, and flowers for $220. Just looked it up....it's the EXOTIC Gazebo http://www.weddingsbylomastravel.com/planning/details1.php?category=Gazebos&cpp=3&pagina=5

It's now $250, but if you want some flowers for decorating this works well. Anyway, don't even mention exactly what you want to your Miami based WC. When you get to the resort, tell on the onsite WC, you don't want the candy wrapped poles and just want the sheers. We also requested the flowers be moved from the ceremony to the reception site. Again no issues once we talked to the onsite WC (but the Miami WC would have no part of it!)

Crazy! sigh....Lomas and karisma are really beginning to push people over the edge! Are you getting this from your Miami WC? I would try calling the hotel directly and asking what the day pass fee for a wedding would be, and explain that you are doing a private event/cocktail party. See what they say!

Good luck!

Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, hazelnut....that's all I know. I would not spend a lot of money on the cakes, I have not heard any good feedback on the cakes. They are not very pretty and usually quite dry.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
