Beautiful flowers!!! I love the colour and texture composition of this bouquet.  I don't think coral would necessarily clash, but I think it may take away from the beauty of the flowers as they may be drowned out by the vibrance of the coral.  What colours are other aspects of your wedding? How about a lighter pink or champagne or gold coloured dresses?

This is our plan if switching coordinators doesn't solve the problem. I made the point that if they aren't allowed on the property that this is no different than me bringing everything in my suitcase. They couldn't really argue that. I'm still waiting to hear back after my bridezilla moment.

My travel agent isn't thrilled with the service I've had from them so far either.

Kathryn, I just had a thought on how you might be sneaky and get away with bringing in these decorations into the resort- can you arrange a meet up with this vendor outside of the resort in one of the towns? Then you can bring the stuff back yourself and say you bought them while you were out shopping!

Our ideal is to get gazebo sheers, the lanterns for poolside decoration and dessert. Depending on how many guests/tables we end up with, we were planning on doing Lomas for the table decorations but now I'm so mad at them I might bring this in separately, too.

how much did you pay for that?

Hey ladies! Amylou1983- gorgeous photos! Seeing pics gets me sooo excited! I have a question about some decorating ideas. We have had to change where we are having our private dinner reception b/c we have more people coming thatn we initially thought. So we have moved it to Plaza Zavas...which I think is absolutely gorgeous in pics! So I wanted to get some feedback on decoration ideas for this space. We are bringing our own centrepieces down but need everything else. - paper lanterns: I love how these look in photos. I am assuming past brides have brought them down with them? Approx how many do you think you would need to fill the space nicely? And I notice some light up, are these the LED throwies I have been reading about? Any good websites you can reccommend for cheap, decent quality lanterns? - lights: my WC said we can rent rope lights for $50/pole from Lomas.....any other ideas? - pool: If I am not mistaken, this is located right next to the pool right? Has anyone put anything to float in the pool? Not sure if they would allow it? Any other ideas? One more thing, we were going to have our cocktail party at Plaza Zavas and reception in Zocalo Alfresco but since we have moved the reception to Plaza Zavas, should we move the cocktail party to the beach or somewhere else? Thanks so much for the help! Happy planning!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
