Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

is anyone doing a sand ceremony?  or did a sand ceremony?  I think I saw it in this forum but can't remember....I've seen a picture frame for the sand....does anyone know where I can get one of these?  I think that is such a cool idea, what a great keepsake from the wedding!  Also, are you bringing your own sand or did you get the sand from Lomas?  Thanks :)

I am getting married at Azul on March 29,2013! Just wondering what some of you girls are doing for music for the reception? DJ or IPod? Lomas DJ?

Thanks,

I booked MegaDJ through Lomas for $1000 for 4 hrs.  $1000 was worth not having the headache of having to put together my own playlist and making sure it runs smoothly!

I know many past brides have mentioned this before. Can anyone tell me how large the sheers for the beach gazebo should be? I have decided to try and buy my own and bring them as 100.00 per sheer seemed a bit steep.

Best,

Laura

I had written down these measurements that someone posted.....2 sheets needed 12m x 1.5m each.

 Yep those measurements are correct.

Also, you do not have to rent the Gazebo. I am almost it is permanently there. Yes the Gazebo Zocalo is the one closer to the pier. If you are having your ceremony there, then you do not have to pay extra for the gazebo.

Yes I am having a sand ceremony. That is actually a good question, I am not sure if we bring our own sand or does AS supply it?

But I do know you have to bring your own photo frame. There is a great one on etsy.com for about $80 (?) or somewhere around that price. But then I saw another bride who bought a shadow box frame from Michaels ($15 and you can use a 50% coupon so it will be 1/2 that price) and drilled in the hole on top so she can pour in the sand. I am attemtping this DIY sand ceremony frame project....click this link for more details..

Thanks, I will look into both of these.  I am surprised by how much they get for the sand ceremony picture frames...but I guess they last forever and it is an excellent keepsake.  I do know that on the Lomas website there is an option for the sand ceremony and it is $40....so I doubt AS supplies the sand.  I did see however somewhere that one of the sands you should use is sand from the beach...and then one colored sand....so sand from the beach would be free!  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
