Just be very detail oriented, ask a ton of questions & my advice for Amanda is if there's anything urgent- CALL her! She takes very long to respond to emails [one of the issues I have with her] so now I just write all my questions down call her for answers & email confirmation of what we spoke about [never not have a hard copy of what you discussed, cover yourself on all bases![ Hope this helps =)

Hey ladies! I have been out of touch for a while but have got caught up on the thread. So I need some advice about the wedding packages. I originally booked the Silver package but then saw the Free Sweet package....I emailed our WC and she shut it down and quoted the website that it is not available for AS from Canada. What a load of crap!! So now I am stuck about staying with the Silver or downgrading to the Pearl and just having add ons. We are bringing our own flowers, having a symbolic ceremony, bringing our photographer, and the spa bells and whistles dont seem like they are worth an extra $1500 to me. Am I missing something major? Tkuzma- I really hope you can still get the Free Sweet package. Let me know how it goes b/c I feel like they are going to try to get the money for a package out of you at some point or another and I dont want any unhappy surprises for you...this still makes me so mad!!

JennyBenz - hello wedding date twin!! :)  We're getting married at 3pm on the rooftop. We'd wanted to get married at 5pm but our ta was on a work trip and it was taken by the time she got back and reserved our wedding! What about you guys? Looks like there will be a lot of New Yorkers there - my finace' is originally from NY and still has a lot of family there!! :)

Amanda finally got back to me and said that I can't have decorations dropped off in the lobby even, without paying an $800 vendor fee. My question of, how can you charge a vendor fee when you don't allow them on the property to be a vendor? was answered with "put your complaint in writing."

 

She was even less helpful on the phone than she is in email.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
