JennyBenz super cute invites! Nicely done!!!

DawnDean, my WC just emailed 2 days ago to let me know that at Zocalo Terrace no buffets can be done due to the size- so only plated dinners either from the Set menu or the Pick & Choose menu.

Well, that seals the deal for Plaza Zavas then! FI is non-negotiable on having a buffet. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the photo, too, Murmel.

I remember reading something about time frame limits for receptions. Does anyone know how late you can have your reception and DJ, and does this depend on location or are all the same?

Still getting used to this forum! Private receptions can go until 11pm.

Love them Jenny!!!  Great job!  What are your plans for the invites now?  Can't wait to see all the DIY projects you come up with.  I'll have to check back here after my own wedding has come and gone.

Hi!! Thank you so much =) We are thinking of doing passport invitations- now that's quite a DIY project LOL So we'll see if we go the DIY route or have them done professionally. I'll definitely keep everyone posted on what the plans are =) I'll definitely be doing tons of DIY projects, as I plan on creating all of our menus, guest cards, labels, tags, programs LOL I'm even going to try doing centerpieces me self- as I really can't justify spending a ridculous amount of money Lomas wants to charge for things I personally don't love.

BTW- Congratulations!! When was your big day?

Any advice to a girl like me that's 11 months away and still has lots to do?

Thanks so much =)

I believe private events can go until 11PM.

We thought it might be an issue, but there are two bars I believe that are open until 2AM!

So you can always take the party there if you want to dance the night away [and maybe even morning] ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
