Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

OMG - That would be awesome! I'm checking with my TA now...

BTW- I sent an email to the woman at etsy.com attaching the family style menu. She said you can fit the whole menu on 1. On one side would be salads & side orders and the other side would be main course & desserts. But the min. order is 20 lumeraries. I will probably need about 6 menu lumaries..not sure what to do with the others... :(

We opted to do a combination save the date/invitation because our guest list is on the smaller side. Mailed them last week, so starting to get visits to our website and questions for our travel agent.

I'm starting to get a bit nervous about booking Plaza Zavas with all you ladies talking about Zocalo...wondering if we should consider a change?

Also, has anyone successfully booked an off-site wedding coordinating service (like Fresa) with Karisma? I'm not sure how to wade into that -- we'd be having a coordinator do a variety of services (photo, decor, dessert etc.) and I obviously only want to pay the $800 fee once. Just curious if anyone has any tips for wording so that we don't get trapped into something expensive with the resort.

Try this link- it's the one photo I have of Zocalo. (if that doesn't work, click on my user name and scroll to the bottom where I have photos, it under the Sensatori wedding sites)  It's a beautiful Mexican setting, it was ideally my #1 choice. But they can only take a maximum of about 45 people, we ended up with almost 65. We loved Plaza Zavas, and really your only concern might be rain. But it doesn't rain there that often, and worst case they would move you to one of the banquet halls.

Good luck!

I only need 10 luminaries. Are you doing the family style or buffet? If you are doing the same menu options, maybe we can order them and split the costs.... just a thought.

jsal4 - I am doing the family style menu. I am having it at Plaza Zava with about 50 people. I am assuming its 10 to a table? Oh wait..is it 8 to a table? yes, would love to share the order. I will send you a PM so we can discuss... :)

Past Brides - I believe I can go into town to pick up maracas?  I wanted to know how much they were?? Does it make more sense to take a cab into town to buy them? Or should I try to find them for a really cheap price and then carry them with me to AS? Which way is the least expensive way? Your thoughts? Many thanks!!!!!!

hi..

I was just looking at the overwhelming banquet kit.  I'm looking at the BBQ deluxe dinner and the Petit Gourmet and it looks like a good deal. Do you girls think it's tacky to have a buffet for the reception?  AND, if any of you have, was the food good and the setup nice.

My reception is at the Zocalo Terrace.  I can have the buffet there right?

Thanks :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
