That is great that your guest list is growing!  I am having my reception at Plaza Zava and not worrying about the weather. If it does rain, then I believe they move you into the ballroom area (esp if you have a larger group). Based on the reviews from past brides, they really do everything they can to spice up the ballroom and accomodate you. So although their reception was moved inside, it seems the past brides and their guests still had a blast. Hope this helps...
I love Plaza Zavaz too so this would definitely be our choice. The WC just kind of sprung it on me and didnt tell me the options if it does rain. We were initially told Zocalo would hold up to 70 people so it was just a surprise. But yes, I would be happy with Plaza Zavaz and just try not to worry about the weather. Good to know that they were helpful with moving it indoors if need be. Thanks for the input!

I'm debating between Plaza Zavas and Zocalo Alfresco for the reception too.  Originally, I wanted Plaza Zavas because I have seen so many beautiful pictures of this location but I'm thinking that Zocalo might be a little cooler with the breeze near the ocean and my father minds the heat. 

 

Does anyone know where I can see pictures of Zocalo Alfresco?? I can't envision what the decor looks like and I did see that someone posted on their review that it was gold and burgundy (doesn't really go with my wedding vision).  

 

I'm planning on having the wedding at 5pm on the beach, skipping the formal cocktail hour, with reception to follow at Zocalo Alfresco (which is the closest location to the ceremony site).  I figure people can make their own cocktail time by going to the Zocalo bar and helping themselves or they can freshen up and get some A/C in their room for the short time that we will take to get some pictures.

I know on this site, to download/share images, links, etc, you have to be a certain type of member- I think it's minimum of 150 posts.

Could I be wrong? I know for sure right now I can't download or open anyone's helpful links & pictures =(

I am thinking the luminaries won't fit all the items so it will probably have to go on more than one. I will let you know once I order them. cheesy.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
